Could anyone enlighten me on what is a spool diff and how it works?

The "spool" is put inside to lock the diff It is one piece and has the splines in it for the axles and is bolted directly onto the crown wheel, This means you can remove the standard carrier and spider gears

All legal except for Streetstocks. If youre running a 9" Ford diff you can buy all sorts of different spool combos eg:Alloy,Chrome Moly etc Pretty hi tech for a Beatle Tanker eh??

Ha Ha to that.To be honest i'd heard some ministox have these,I'm not very savvy on the technical stuff so that's why I ask.Word is $4'500 for these.

Yes Beatle a few ministocks have these but the figure is no where near $4500 its less then $450
