Accidental Dave, All due to a hasty trade me transaction on the Thursday night and a reluctance to use a fragile post, we ended up in Napier on Friday morning. Mmmmmmm, Jazz Festival back home or Speedway at Meeanee, Jazz or Speedway, Jazz or Speed, jazz/speed? Speedway won without too much deliberation and we booked 2 nights in a motel and killed time till the gates opened. ;D First time visitors that we can remember Haven't seen solos or side cars since I can't remember when so that was cool... Karyn's dad was a swinger and her step dad raced TQ's so it was good see them too. The Kiwilites were awesome, put on a good show. Man those things have character. Cool little hot rods!. It's been a few years since street stocks raced at baypark and of course the Super Stocks. WOW! I'd forgotten what a good field of SStocks sounded and felt like! Got to get out and see them more often. We did the Paradise Valley Raceway meeting on the way home Sunday too. So more SStocks and .... Modifieds!!! Bloody cold nights at Meeanee and Freakin freezing at Rotorua! Got to the track early on the second night at Meeanee and met these good folk unloading all but the kitchen sink over the fence. They gave us the good oil on how and where to get in and where to sit. We threw our blanket and bag over the fence and they placed it in the stand to secure a pozzy for us while we got our tickets on the other side of the track. They even had spare pieces of string for us to tie the blanket up as a wind break. how good is that! Fellow macgorians to boot! ... and bumped into them again at Rotorua!! Really nice people. Great sense of humour. So yeah, it was a good long weekend of speedway. Really enjoyed it all.

Sometimes we even take the kitchen sink when we travel away from home (in the campervan) For the amount of time we spend at the track we might as well be comfortable in our specially designed chairs ;D
