yesterday late afternoon saw a tank on a trailer being towed up waihi road. Grey chassis, burgandy colured body/panels, and I think it may have had a tank shape as the wing.
Pretty sure it had the #53 on it but did not get enough of a look for track letter as was heading in other direction.
Which car is this?

Was it a superstock? If so it could be the X Bart Prowse. Heard a rumour it was floating around them parts.

didnt get a good enough look - by the time I saw it, it was already disappearing off behind me. Would think it was most likely not a superstock and gut feeling was that it was not in pristine condition like the Bart P tank

I bet that got the old speedway heart bumping (woops pumping ) Mr Bump. Tank 5 Pitchers Rebuilt by Karl Daniel Tickford Powered, Cruiser gearbox, toyota diff Opens up to a big picture, looks like they have done a good job on it. Good to hear it will be back out for another appearance - the real Dave Evans Tanks have been missing in action for far too long, with 2,3,4 and 5 being out of action for much of the last few seasons

Sounds like it could be the Keven Roberts SuperTanker, he was 53p and I'm pretty sure he had a tank shaped fin/wing.
