Ngatai and Ewers (and others) UK trip
« Thread Started on Aug 2, 2009, 9:52pm »

Does anyone know when the pair are heading to the UK? I assume they'll take in a couple of races prior to the World Final to come to grips with the cars? Also any idea which cars they'll be racing?

cheers,
Dragon

Malcolm Ngatai leaves on August 8th, and he'll be on the B-Sport Breakfast (see the Noticeboard as to how you can listen) at 9.15am tomorrow morning discussing the journey. There are plans to speak with him live from the UK a couple of times during his 7 week trip too, so watch Macgor's for updates.

B-Sport Radio is hopeful of having Dale Ewers on before he leaves as well, and that'll be arranged later on today.

Hopefully we can get them both on together upon their return, the same way Dale and Scott Miers appeared as a part of the same interview before the Teams Nationals late last season. Nothing like a bit of niggle ;D

Be sure to be watching '60 Minutes' on TV3 when it returns from its summer hiatus February 17th @ 7.30pm. Scheduled to feature on the first episode will be a behind-the-scenes story on the Palmerston North Panthers and the 2010 Superstock Teams Champs. Filming has now been completed and editing has begun with a view to having it ready to be the second story that night.

For those of us who can't be near a radio at the right time, are there archives on the website of past radio shows?

Some of the earlier shows are up on the SNZ website now, and there are a bunch more ready to be put up soon. Once SNZ revamp their website they'll be going up on a weekly basis within a day or two of going to air.

Thanks for the info guys.
Look forward to see them race on this side of the globe. They made quite and impression on me when I saw them at the start of this year, especially Ngatai in the teams champs.
Hopefully they get equiped with some good cars.

Malcom didn't have a go at KL tonight as we ran out of time getting a car organised but definitely got a car sorted for Birmingham next sat night. Heading to Birmingham Wed night for a practice run to get use to the car before he races with all the big guns.
