« Thread Started on Oct 11, 2009, 2:30pm »

Good turn out of cars and onlookers for Rotorua's 1st practice .
Paradise Vally Raceway was looking superb too .
I didn't do a car count but estimate.
14? stockcars
2+? Superstocks
3 Saloon.
1 or 2 minisprints a wee stack of ministocks
a couple of Production Saloons.
Picture is 19r Andrew Harvey superstock

Mark Costello, but it's not a Tri-Rail, it's a MBY Engineering Spacie.

:D Excellent day for a drive from Tauranga to Rotorua,
with an awesome mix of scenery!

Unfortunately for the three saloons on hand, time on the track was somewhat less than anticipated, and not quality.
A few cremlins in the water truck workings resulted in a relatively dry track for most classes first time out,
and a LAKE for the saloons.
Second outing on the track and the cremlin had moved from the water truck to my engine.
A new set of plugs and we're lined up, all set for a final and 3rd attempt,
only to be turned away at the gate - PRACTICE OVER! :(
Them's the breaks, but at least I established an engine issue before 'racing in earnest' ..
In part, what practices are for!

A few shots capturing my observations, ...
