Hey to all out there, just a quick word form me about the off season rebuild,
We did a fairly major revamp to the car over the winter, we did a full motor teardown with the help of Doug Smith in Pukekohe, everything was pretty much fine in there except for a broken rocker which must have let go when the axle broke at speed fest, we have rebuilt the motor and freshened it up with new rings, valves, valve springs, bearings and rockers,
While the motor was out I had Chris Street change around the cockpit to suit me a bit better, we put in a willword pedal box and moved the pedals forward, this required moving the firewall, and remaking the dash, we also lowered the seat and inch, to give myself a bit more head clearance, I have also added a remote brake bias adjuster, Chris took some time out of building his new CSR Chassis Minisprints to fit us in, they look awesome in his East Tamaki workshop and I look forward to see how they go.
We also got Karl from K-Spec fabrication to make us a new exhaust system as the original system had seen better days, with the system coated at Procoat it looks and sounds awesome.
I want to say thanks for all those that helped with parts and time for the cars, the guys at BNT Pukekohe and Franklin Bearings and Auto parts have been awesome to deal with.
We were on track to be at Huntly this weekend for practice, but with the awful weather we have been having it has been called off,
We will be racing out of Huntly again this year and hope to have the new body and graphics package ready for opening night,
Cheers, and thanks for reading,
