Streetstocks were a small field but didnt dissapoint as one Holden Commodore Streetie Blew its lunch at the Pit end of the Track and erupted into a Flaming Fireball (Threw a Rod out the sump) I didnt quite get the camera up quick enough for the shot but it was Awesome to see & The crowd was Bonkers when the driver got out and raised his arms in acceptance of this great deed Attachments:

First corner madness & it was on Who's is the car at the back in this pic, and any ideas where it came from or what body it has? Jayden Gerard...this was Graeme Stantons car last year from memory, it looks like some kind of hybrid mirage/lancer/galant body....he didnt do too badly, give him some more steering lock and he should have some more luck sticking it in the corners...

Yea it is a Mitsi Cyborg/Lancer Body (I have a mate back here in Palmy with a rapid cyborg road car & is identical to the ex Stanton Bodied car) they dont look to bad on a stockie either

Graeme Stantons Car (Mitsi Cyborg/Mirage Body) was driven by a 16yr old lad (didnt quite get his name maybe THE OBSERVER could fill that one in) did quite well for a first timer in a stockcar Jayden Gerad, J- Bar, or Nudge Bar in the past. A chip of the old block - son of one Towbar. Can really drive, got dispensation last season to race adult ministocks, and know has been saving up to get into a good deal - the x Ian Burson Superstock 21 n was green body and orange chassis, converted to stockcar by Dar Stanton, and now raced by Jayden. After discovering you run in 2nd, not 3rd after the first race he ran 3rd in a car that little in the way of lock or steering. They only finished the car on Saturday morning. Car has some boogy all right. Now at trade school in CHCH, he will be a force to be reckoned with once the team get things sorted. Good to see another father on son on the track (If towbar finishes the last 3 jobs on the list to get the new Rees out there). There was talk of swapping to a Ford Y, but i think the Mirage looks awesome. I might just have to see if hey are interested in a swap *ammended post - wandered off to MIA to see if a picture was there, but could only come up with these interesting bits about the history of the car This is the one that got bananed (just made up a new word) by Gary Worthington at the teams champs. Brendan Higgins borrowed the car from Ian Burson and was busy demolishing a Stratford driver when Wild A** appeared and drove through the side of the car and into the engine block. Unless I am wrong (and I might well be) it originally came south to Dave Barton from the Warners in Hawke's Bay.
