He sure wasnt in my picks because of his transfering up north and wasnt in the team I heard on thursday night, But an asset to the Eagles if hes chosen i cant confirm the osbourne thing as fact, but was named in the team that was told to me by members of the crushers team. lol i was shocked too, so shocked the rest of the team didnt register im sure someone will confirm for us. nelson tigers are ewers , peterson, higgins, s harwood, cunningham, and clayworth. clayworth bein named as backup for cunningham who suffered a massive hit during tonights racing that sounds like it may have done some engine damage. and may not be able to repair in time for the 1st round of the mccall trophy.

and i had been told there was a protest on the teams race, some nelson cars retreating onto the green stuff in the eyes of the crusher team members. there was nothing announced at the track other than that the thunder won despite having one car excluded for rolling a crusher on the red. to be fair the canterbury car was/ or could have been blocking the veiw of the lights from the nelson drivers vision. well thats how i saw it. and who looks at lights anyway when you are underneath a oppisition car just begging to be tipped over ;D as i left the track there was no mention of this protest so one assumes that the thunders win holds true.

the duo of ewers and 27c peter field won the superstock best pairs. a tiny field of 8 but provided some entertainment, notably the cunningham-boote battle. good to see some bif and barge, from all drivers and no doubt some tiger practice thrown in as well. not that there were many options to pick from

Wins for S Carey, I Burson and R Taylor in the Super Saloons. 21N will take a few days to straighten and weld back together. 71N only damage to the front end. They announced Clayworth and Boote as the winners of the pairs. Good to see the professor up this end of the island.

Boy dirt racing attracts some interesting people. I dont like dramatisations.....came apon a bit of a mess entering turn 4 Ron parked oblique at the wall, burs infield, two othercars infeild . Me runnig tail end charlie all night was suddenly running with two others ,Shane Carey and Mark Carey.Unreal , yes but the damage was one front bumper only and a slight side rip.No thing to see here.

Just to set the record straight, what happens in the referees office is between them and those concerned, but I can tell you there was never a mention of anything untoward occuring in the teams race other than the roll of the 'c' car when the light went red, and that was dealt with as reported with the Tasman Thunder winning the race but having offending car excuded from the results. Anything else that has been mentioned has only been speculation from those not in the know.

The exclusion was fair, although the reds were hard to see in the sun, with plenty going on and 8C actually initiated the contact under red, too -- but no quibbles with the outcome.

Josh got sideways, leaving Ronnie and Burse nowhere to go. As Dave W said, it looked messy but it was panel and paint. Some very quick laps, what I could see through the bloody sandblasting dust...

So godfather if the N car that rolled the C car is the car that won the race and has been excluded from the race and C cars came second ,thrid and forth dose that not mean the crushers won

The N car that rolled the C car was Matt Inwood, who was blocking and not in the mix. The race was won by Brad Hosking with Andrew Quy second. C cars 3, 4 and 5.
