Well got some pics in the Photo Board but will post the main text in here to get started. "Well what an awesome night of racing, with some out of towners coming in for a blast on BP's dust it made things get exciting. Thanks to all who came and put on a show for the crowd, also Big congrats to the following for the nights efforts. Kristin Vermuelen - What a wicked performance tonight charging up the field and keeping on form most of the night probably the best raceing you have had in the Super Michelle Wymer - What an awsome Feature race just held it together and kept it cool and calm to take the Checkered Flag. Paul Managh - well what can i say you try bloody hard mate and you did exceptionally well in the feature also taking a 2nd place behind michelle and 1 place in front of Steve Muir, good on ya Paul maybe next week it'l be a 1st" View Topic Here For Pics macgor.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=photos&action=display&thread=12831&page=1

First speedway meeting for the year for me and wow what a meeting. Favourite part of the night was seeing the 23 and 24m stockcars hitting, something that used to be a rare occasion at bay park, these 2 made it regular every lap. And then the FIREWORKS!! WOW they were unreal, once again they have outdone themselves. Only 1 gripe but which was the speed in which the fire crew got to the 24m tank? when the exhaust seemed to have got to hot and when 1 of the saloons seemed to have quite a bit of smoke/steam (not sure) coming from under the bonnet area and the saftey truck didnt even look like moving. Event was excellent though.Bring on the stockcars next week, cant avoid hitting with 60+ cars on the track Awesome work Bay Park and all those involved

Heaps of ministox, 25 saloons, 10 super saloons, not sure of stox but around 20, and 13 sprinters.
Good racing in all classes. some good hits in the stox, saloons were running close all night and seemed to be a cm away from a major crash.
Skinny won the feature but there were some expensive noises coming from the engine as he crossed the finish line. In Skinny's own words "something has poo'ed in the engine"
All in all a good night. Only dissapointment was the races seemed to be shortened up and racing was finished before half 9. Crackers were a good end to the night. I watched them from the carpark to beat the mad rush of a 2 thirds full stadium all exiting at once.

Not exactly sure. It seemed mechanical tho. I shot down to the pits and the teams were working on both cars. They had the air cleaner off the 1nz car and were working on the engine.
I talked to Emo before the meet and he has definately contracted to Bay Park. Unsure about Shane. Good to see them both back

The last Super saloon race was very untidy.
76M was out of control in the feature, ended Neville Stuarts Night in the first lap, then made contact with Emerson down the back straight, then went into the in field. and after a lap pulled out in front of the race traffic.. and was over driving like crazy even with the yellows on still going nuts.. unsafe stuff for the other drivers, should of been black flagged.

Porky hit the wall hard and left the track in the ambulance wasn't it paul?Yep it was Paul. He went to hospital to get an x-ray, at 2.30am they still weren't happy with the x-ray as he has had a previous back injury. He had to stay the night and having a CT scan in the morning sometime!

Was good to finally come and say Hi to you all Porky, hope Paul is all OK this morning and not too sore as it was a big hit, i could even feel it on the front straight. Get well soon

Having watched the first 2 meetings, Terry Corrin seems to be on a mission in the 46M saloon. He seems to be getting thru the traffic faster than the current 1nz and the grip he gets exiting the corner equating into speed down the straight is highly impressive. Come January, I suspect 46m will be proving his 3nz last season wasn't a fluke happening
