Havent asked this one before but what are the things, you the paying public need from the teams racing. i know results is a priority and points on Friday night, but is it winners interviews, drivers out of a car after a big hit, damage reports, pit interviews and in what priority, beacuse at times we cant do everything.
I want to look at what you need not what i think you need, so give me some sensible guidance and i will see what i can do.
I can't change the numbers thing so please don't go there
I get a real buzz out of this event, but i feel the crowd should too so constructive ideas would be great.
see you all Friday night for what is shaping up to a great teams event again.

Great question and shows why you are one of the best.
Other than results, what happened when results get over-turned would be good. Making clear the possible scenario's before the final qualifying races.
I know you can't force the teams to stop there numbering stupidity, but a bit of extra effort to remind us who is driving which number would be excellent.

chats on the infeild with the drivers after a big hit or roll etc would be a bonus for the crowd possibly? it gives the crowd an idea on what its like from a drivers point of veiw on what happened leeding up to the take out.

Gee, you do know something after all knownotmuch ;D.
pit stuff about State of play with the cars and drivers is what I'm more interested in . Not so bothered with winners or other drivers interviews.
I dare say there will be differences between the printed program and the reality with regards drivers and cars so perhaps we can get that clarified a few times before the meeting starts if needed.

History of teams,drivers
what they are knowen for either flag racing or one hit wonders or the ultimate brick wall.
the moral in a team camp after a race is always good to talk about as it gives the crowd are real insight in to teams racing

When ive been at Teams youve always been good mintie, and the main things have been covered, but also constant reminders of where the lead car of each team is on the track is also good. Ive seen it a few times when the leader has been taken out and noone is too sure who is in second or where the lead car from the opposing team is. Pit interviews and damage reports are always good too.

For myself personally I can read a race just fine, all I need to know is what I can't see. Whats happening in the pits and what the officials are thinking. I believe Friday night will draw the hardcore fans like myself.
Saturday night though might be a different story. I would anticipate more "once a year" fans. Subsequently the commentary may need to be dumbed down a bit. More of a play by play style to tell the fans what they are watching and to help them read the race.
Anyone can see a hit but casual fans don't necessarily appreciate how the hit contributes to the race. By helping fans read a race they may start to realise that link and truely appreciate teams racing.

Id like to see you sing the National Anthem mintie before the start of racing. maybe the choir i sing in could, but the winner brownie could be any one of the teams, no real clear cut contenders like Palmy in the super stock ranks, the TAB should look at it as the money would be well spread. as for some of the suggestions keep the sensible ones coming and i have realised that we can do just a bit more for the information we provide after races. |

Talking of the national anthem. We go to speedway in Mackay Qld a few times a season and even a normal race night it is a case of, stand for the anthem.
