The track was greatly improved tonight - well done to those who worked on it since last night.
Congrats to Steve, Brent & Terry. That was a great drive by them all.
Steve to get to the front on the first lap from 6th on the grid and then hold off Terry and then Brent esp. the final turn.
Brent to make his way from 9th on the grid and I thought he had Steve on the final bend
Terry started 4th but had to deal with Neil Head - a very hard man to pass. Once passed he pressured Steve all the way.
Special mention to Phil. Broken car night 1; through the D Main into the back of the C main through that and on the back of the B main and though that to make the final only to be stopped by a flat rear. I would have loved to see how far he could have made it, but as the man said, "that's racing."
STOCKCARS Any news on Scott Colin Gallop 48H. taken off in the Ambo after a very heavy contact with the wall in the feature.

sure was a great nights racing, good hard, CLEAN racing by all the guys at the pointy end of the field...
Good showing from Neil Head in the A Main, still trying to get the ideal set up with it.
Steve, Terry, Brent all drove a good clean race, and gave each other racing room when required.

What a great final race. Still not a great fan of the format. I do like the one race final but not so the dashes etc. Maybe good for the drivers but not for the spectators.
I am pretty sure it was Pa Gallop in the stocky. Was taken to hospital with chest injuries. Hopefully just precautionary.
Stevie Williams also won a bed for his boss courtesy of one of the sponsors! Sorry couldn't resist.

Yeah CONGRATS to Steve and Mel and the whole team , first dual Champ Supers and Saloons ,it is good that the three dominators in our class have all had the 1 nz . And don't give up on Towgood , next year is at Wellington and he doesn't go towbad there . But I have to say well done to Brent excellent driver and crew and how consistent an nz every year . The format over the two nights was a 'major turnoff' of for many, but the outcome a 'major turnon'. Irrespective of the format, cream rises and their efforts in this instance secure the most amazing keepsake rememberance trophy 'handcrafted' by Willie Kay .... Huge congratulations to all.

Does have them (1NZ trophies) in the house inspire you to greater deeds on the track Murray?

Wow what a 2nd night ! That was one of the best nights of racing I have seen in a while, Congrats to Steve, Brent and Terry ?. The track was so much better than the night before, the format although hard to follow actually worked for this event and the racing from all classes was superb. I was a bit sceptical about how the 2nd night would pan out after the first but it all came together really well. Congratulations to all involved. Huntly, you have a hard act to follow after that 2nd night, looking forward to it !

A big congratulations to the team at Bay Park on a superb evening of entertainment. The feature race in every class was outstanding - the bizzarre finish to the Sprintcar race with Dahm coming through after Mezaros got it wrong, Dovovan coming through the pack in the Supers and even the 1 consolation Saloon race produced the action with 3 cars going across the line side by side. The Saloon final itself was top class with a very intense dual between 10M and 46M in the early stages for 2nd with 1NZ fighting though the pack at the same time. The closing stages of the race could not have been scripted better if they tried with Williams Mustang seemingly loosing a bit of pace allowing Corrin to really challenge and then final lap heroics from McClymont really was the icing on the cake. The format may have been a bit bizzarre but it made for an exciting 2nd night with something on the line everytime the Saloons came out. Good track, good organisation, outstanding support program and the best Saloon racing Ive seen in a long time

yes have to agree with all thats been said. abrilliant night's racing all round Big ups to the organisers and congrats to the 3 very worthy podium placegetters. Shame about Phill Twogoods rotten luck. Certainly was impressive in the B Main Was sceptical about the format but still provided great entertainment anyone know what happened to Emmersons car inthe 1st Super race? Looked horribly ominous pulling into the infield smoking. Hope it's nothing serious with NZ's only 5 days away.
