what sort of chassis are you looking at building?flat chassis,spacey,tri rail??

i know alot of people just copy of each others so dont really have any plans

yeah thats what is making it so hard to find any info.

Im not sure as yet what i wanna build but am leaning toward spaceframe.

I guess it is just gonna be finding someone who is willing to let me crawl all over there car and take measurements.

ANy help would be appreciated as i would like to get a stockcar built ready for next years season her in blenheim.

Just to add that this is for my own personal use and i am not trying to make/sell them in anyway.

If anyone has any plans and can email them pls send me a pm as i notice someone on another board is also looking for plans but to make chassis to sell.

Im sure they wouldnt mind you taking some pics and having a measure up.

Hey youre most welcome to come over and have a looky at 21n if that means theres another car in the Blenheim area for next year.

Just remember,building your own deal from scratch is nearly every time more expensive than buying a already proven car.
Its those hidden wee expenses that can kill the budget.

Hi There,
I may be of some assistance. I measured up and 3d modeled a car here in Palmerston North for a guy who wanted to build one. He ended up buying a complete car but I still have it drawn on my computer. There is a feature in the 3d drawing package I used, that enables me to put loads on the chassis and see how it reacts with impact. In doing this I noticed a few areas that could do with a bit of attention. The car was a Gorge copy and was racing in the superstock grade here in Palmy. forgive me for not giving any more info than this, you know how it is!
Any how if you were interested i could produce a set of plans from this for a fee. let me know if your keen.

Nah steel round twice that price now with new roll cage regulations etc and steel has gone up fair bit since these plans came out

yeah, i got 2 lengths of 40x40x3 yesterday, was $150 inc

im lucky that my whole chassis so far has only cost me $300 (pics in drivers board), half of that was for the firewall
