To the Commmentating team (now known as the Licorice Allsorts) of Mal Sines, Mintie & Barry Brown... Great job guys! I think a special mention should also be made of Craig Pierce, who helped out on both night's with a more technical insight into what goes into winning a major championship, car setups and changes, and the like.........we all learnt something there I suspect. Thanks Barry. Have amended post and website.

so once again lance jennings misses out on nz champs.purely from a overdriving mistake from someone who should know better no.38.also after you have been passed just let it go.the car that passed obviously is quicker without trying to have a last lunge,no 35.apart from dissapointing outcome for some this was the best super racing i have seen.dj race fuels can not be bad 1nz again

At the time the trio were involved in a hard fought contest for third, less than 2 laps from the end of a 20 lap final, with Emerson and McIntyre side by side ahead of them. A missed podium perhaps, but even that was not certain the way Hemi had rounded up the top quartet, but I fail to see how the incident cost him the title. You're right about the great racing however.........

That top lane that Peter Hemi was running was open for anyone to use to drive around Shane for the win. Thats what Brent eventually did for the win and any of those behind him could have tried that. Lance only moved out in front of Pete when he saw that he was going to pass him and thats a fact, we were all watching those 2 cars for the previous 4 Laps as pete who was flying came from the back of the field. All Lance had to do was to step out and drive around Shane while Shane was busy protecting the bottom line from Brent. He had the car, the ability and the opportunity to do it but didn't, not couldn't, but didn't. I am sure that will grate away at him as his best missed opportunity to win the title for a very long time. Would Pete have got there?? We will never know but it would have been close. Either way that was the best Super Saloon race that I have ever witnessed either as a driver or a spectator. Congratulations to Brent, Shane and Mike and all the other drivers for a fantastic show!

Hey Schumaakar i agree with your comments about Lance he had all the time in the world to step out and have a go but the minute Pete showed a wheel on the outside Lance then stepped out and i think halted his progress forward hence the spin. Lance was not showing any great signs of winning the title were did Pete come from on the grid aaaa think it was around 14 and Lance Question answererd. TOP SUPER RACIN THO. CARDWELL 4 DONUT KING ;D

Quite strange for jennings not to try and pass on the outside as he has done it before at huntly.I remember seeing him and steve williams going hammer and tongs for four laps and then he just flew around the outside to win.Was waiting for him to do it for half of the race.Excellent racing was the best i have seen.Well done to everyone involved.

just so you guys and girls know lance only moved out yo pass because tire was late to start working.maybe slight wrong choice of compound.if you watch vid he had been on outside trying to pass 35 for a lap before peter arrived,i still say between 35 &38 lance was still in the sandwich .peter thought lance would have passed 35 and was going to maybe pass on the outside but came down to early, chopping the front out of lances car .watch vid and see how quickly lances car gets taken to the infield.still fantastic race and pleased to see dj race fuels leading the way with brent emerson.congratulayions brent.
