Hijacking Herbies thread! Start another. Dont think you will see Herbie teams racing this year, family time now. Did a great job for the Wanderers last year at Auckland.

You never know mike004, Herb may have got the bug again after a STELLA performance on the weekend. I know he was saying they did some suspension work to the kuriger on the off season and the motor got a tickle up, all that hard work obviously paid off! If herby doesn’t make the rebels he may slot into the rookies..... oops... did I say that....lol

Good on him.. lining up against 1NZ and beating him by using what you can, awesome stuff!! As for the teams thing, the car is my favourite teams car ever, so it would be mean to see it out there still. Hope Mike is a Rebel cos i know it sucks being in and out of a team and having to fill in other teams to get teams time and i had it nowhere near as much as Mike has.

It was said by the anouncers barry I was reporting from the pits, I reported both of the Joblin boys were in talking to the officials (I spoke with them while they were waiting outside), I never said there were not going to race if another car was let back in. I'm pretty sure neither Paul or Mark did either.......none of us recieved such information as far as I'm aware. Meanwhile, back to Mike Herbert.........

Barry B, I was watching coverage on speedbox and the chat page that accompanies the video was going nuts.... full screen gets rid of it but better quality video I found in original format. Anyway there was a comment posted on there re joblins coming out or not so maybe it wasn't part of the commentary but viewed elsewhere.
Need to find the off button for the chat

Well they were by Race Control while some of the rest of the field were forming up, so it is possible some conclusions may have been drawn had the pit camera picked that up.
Was a great day of action anyway, quite a bit of it courtesy of MIKE HERBERT.........

Just to clear it up a little , I do seem to remember one of the commentators saying something along the lines of "It remains to be seen if the Joblins will come out if the 85h is allowed out there".
As often happens an of the cuff comment has been transformed into something else . Easy done.

And that would have been me macgor, as it was pretty busy down there for a few minutes - of course Simon didn't come back out as he was still recovering from the big hit, and Scott made it back to his car in time to make the dummy grid and as history now tells us, take the win. Meanwhile, once again, over to you............MIKE
