According to a few people in the know there are 5 from Welly and the possibility of those 3 Black Mods from stratty but its a stupid weekend to even attempt running it cos there is a big modified meeting in Rotovegas oh well who am i to say im only a spectator afterall

Rosie in 2nz out for season.
Ricie in 8s not running anywhere at Easter in the mod.
Ward boys both running Sprinters at Harrisville at Easter.
Bunter in 67s, Dicko in 4s, Willy in 10s, Jacko in 71s, Jason Kalin in 12s and Blair in 226s all confirmed running at Rotorua for Easter.
All Akl guys that are running anywhere at Easter are all also running at Rotorua.
In short no Auckland or Stratty cars heading to Christchurch this year.
Hope this helps.

Wellington have Brain McPhee, Blair McPhee, Phil Paterson, Ben Crawthra and have seen both Tama and Jordan Apapere behind the wheel this season. Also Craig Pottinger started the season with W, my understanding is that he transfered to an E for the sake of the South Island champs, but he was there for the Wellington champs, so we still think of Craig as one of our own. The rumour mill has one more almost hitting the track and two more strong possibilities for next season. As for any of them heading South at Easter, sorry never thought to ask.

Hey anybody down here in Christchurch kmow who has bought the #8a Lovelady/Marsh 406 it looks like the old 29a Mark Wade machine. Not the old 29A. Was run in Auckland by Craig McLeish for a couple of seasons and before that I'm pretty sure it was in Wellington, driven by Wayne Everleigh

Brett likes having a bit of fun. ;D He means yes he knows who bought it and that is all that was asked. No one asked the name of the person who did! Remember he is an engineer so he answers specific questions but doesn't volunteer any info that may have been expected but not specifically asked! LOL!

Wadey here my old lovelady was bought by Brent Adams a well known guy down there and i think its back at loveladies getting another make over, the other car which has apparently just sold down there 8a 8h is known as big jean also a lovelady car but has had harris reconstruction but unfortunately its another car gone from Auckland Huntly area which is not good. The name big jean John said they named all the cars in the old days but he didnt know what they had named my lovelady which was originally Robbie Browns car .The other thing was we were offered good travel money and plenty of good will to come down and race at the invasion and I do appreciate that thanks to Woodford Glen club we will get there one day.

I know this thread started as something else but I can partly answer the 8h car sale.
I ran it for 3 seasons (intermittently ) in Auckland. I bought the car as a roller from Phil Patterson (6w). He purchased it from Lovelady, it was one of their works cars. The car was called Big Gene. I understand it was after Gene Hackman as they use to hacksaw bits off it when needed for something else. I sold the car to Dean Martin in late 2007
Now for the rumour part. I understand the car has been bought to be split and will be used to get several other mods up and mobile. This is rumour so ...don't shoot me. Just repeating gossip!! Cheers Craig
