Sorry to change it abit but the 44 car, is that the old clack proctor/dion fraser car? Which went under the team green flag a few years later aswell? Yes it is, 44A Peter Botma, later to Dion and then to Rick Campbell. No it is not a high bar car, it was designed as one by Clark Proctor and not allowed, what you see in that photo is a wind up. Venetian Blind type material stuck on to look like a high bar car. I think it was only on for that meeting. Pallmall would you have that pic of when this car (Dion Fraser driving) went right up onto the bonnet of the Frank tank? Down in pit corner at the Park.

Tanks make great launching pads.
Did Dion go to sleep in this incedent? The movement of his head is quite a bit.
Back on topic, where is the ex 18A now Pallmall?

The 18A now is in Papatoetoe waiting for a rebuild and a return to racing.

So, as stated on page 1 here, and the 28H thread, the ex 18A car of Fatboyracer84A and the ex 28H car are related by design, both being copies of the Malcolm Bear car and built about the same time.

I too had a car that fits into this era also. built by Malcolm Bear then on to Gary Ellis, David/Vic Neal, Karl Vinton, Me, now 32W Troy Clifton.
