Did I see the video, and hear the team right - 4 new tanks coming out of that shed for the south island!! A couple due for this season, and 2 back halfs already made?? Well worth the watch, and thanks for the update - will be interesting t hear how the chev goes, and i've already been given the heads up from CHCH that "Brendan" is a nutter Keep up the good work, and can;t wait to see them hit the track. Seems the South Island stockcar class is going tank crazy - does that make 3 in nelson, 1 in blenheim, 1 in CHristchurch, 1 in Greymouth, and potentially 4 in the deep south? AWESOME - looks good for some fun times this season

Sorry Obby, you heard/saw wrong, there's only 3 at the moment but I can make it 4 if you want one ;D. the interview was done in 2 parts and things got moved around a bit in between. the 2 front halves were set up for a (staged) photo. 1 of those fronts is now a nearly complete chassis. You're right Buster, it's a great concept. hopefully more people around the country do something similar. hopefully around the 10th of october I will have more photos for you's that aren't staged. (too much) Cheers, Cliff.

And your informants in CHCH are pretty right Obby, Brendon is no flag chaser. Cheers, Cliff.

Haha - thanks Cliff - and thanks for opening the shed up. The 47n was pretty impressive i thought, so will be good to see how the chev versions go.
Will yours be out this season? And silly question i know, but just confirming - will you be running a chev?
Couldn't quite hear the answer to those too in the cool update on the pits website.
cheers

uphoto sharing sitespload photos imagesHi all, after Craig Healys ? roll cage getting ripped off at Palmy last year we ( Dale Honeybone and myself) started discussing roll cage design and gusseting. at the time there was rumors of a material spec change, so I rang a director to talk to him about what I wanted to do an pick his brain again on a few things. He thought it might be a bit of an overkill but liked the concept so said to go ahead. this is what we came up with. In light of recent incidents i'm not sure there can be an overkill so long as the driver can still get out ok. Cheers, Cliff.

Looks awesome Cliff, great to see. also like the look of the roll cage addition, and does that front cross make it easier for the tank pilot to spot the targets?

On 24i I only put 1 diagonal in the front and Brendon said by the time he got out onto the track he never noticed it. I know it looks like it could take a bit of getting used to but I found sitting in the car, if I looked at the cross I noticed it, if I looked at the far end of the workshop I didnt notice it. I'm sure Rob will get used to it. Also 24i isn't in hibernation, it's in a wood shed. Brendon has a bit of a health issue to get sorted then I think you'll see it back out hopefully with 24i still on it. Cheers, Cliff.
