met service expecting less than half a ml of rain, gusts to 24km per hour in the last 10 mins, schedule outdoor activity for evening, occasional light rain, humid north westerlies.. now back to you ......

Over here in Wanganui we have had the same weather pattern all day. Within the last hour it has cleared up & is much brighter and still very warm.
Like everyone else we will sit on our hands until word comes through.

Morefm says all good. Maybe an 8 start. They have machinery ready and helicopters on standby! they want it all on today. Also getting an aviation report.

As Mark Ellis would say "God loves a trier". They're an optimistic bunch. From where I'm sat, 2kms from the track, its grey, drizzling and just generally downright awful speedway weather. Maybe next year Dunedin should make a comeback as the Ducks.....  |

It does look to be improving as per predictions. A heavy fog layer now due to high humidity. We had a slight wind change that seemed to keep the rain here. I'm on an elevated spot & get a better view of whats going on weather wise, my guess is its going to clear.
