Hi Slidey, Did 5V get hit on the roll cage whilst on it's side, or just a big rollover? Massive damage to the cage and car. Yeh, took a hit to the roll cage while on his side. Thanx Stu.

Stephen Taylor drove the North City Diesel 21W Sprintcar from grid 18 to 8th in the A Main at the NZ Sprintcar Champs in Tauranga last Wednesday. After placing 3rd in the first qualifying heat he suffered damage to the right rear tire (due to no fault of his own) in the 2nd qualifying heat which cost him a better starting grid in the A Main, and probably a better finishing position. He had a very fast car all night. More pictures and video to come from the NZ Sprintcar Champs meeting in a day or so. Yeh, took a hit to the roll cage while on his side. Thanx Stu. He took a shot at 74B's left front, but mistimed slightly, went over the front of the car, into the wall and over. And 74B couldn't avoid the contact with 5V's roof as he turned over.

Well Done Slidey ya hit Half Million Views a Great Effort ya must be doing a Great Job . Awesome keep up the great work . All your effort is enjoyed by many !!!. On Behalf of everyone a Big Thankyou . Cheers brother, I'm pretty grateful to have got this far without incident and am pleased that my little corner of the internet brings some joy to quite a few people. I never imagined having so many views when I started in May 2011... 500,000 in about 5 years.. average 100,000 a year....2,000 a week.. Thank you fordracer for reintroducing me back into the sport that I loved as a teenager back in about 1978/79 when you allowed me to be part of the Kihikihi Kings Superstock team back in 2009, prior to that I just used to spend every Saturday night (and a lot of other nights too) sitting in the pub thinking I was living. Duh... I really caught the speedway bug again big time and haven't been able to shake it since haha I'd also like to take this opportunity to say that I've met some very good people (from both ends of the fame scale) and made some true friends through speedway - not the least of which my wife Nicola. Our first date was a hot dog dinner at the Palmy track. I also thank my sponsors for making my participation in bringing you what you see so much easier: Robertson Holden International Speedway Palmerston North North City Diesel - We Fix Trucks Porirua Bearing Wholesale Whanganui I must also thank all the drivers, riders and crew that make up the photo's for without them doing what they love there would be no photo's, so thank you all. So thank ya'll for viewing and the positive comments and I look forward to bringing you more and more and more.. Pete I couldn't think of a single song out of the many that I played so I hope you like this one. A good rule for life.

More great shots Pete. Silly question but for sprintcars is the tail tank the only required place for numbers & track codes, I notice some cars have a number on the wing, some with track code, some without, some cars have a number on the front wing, others on the bonnet

From the SNZ Rule Book: T10-3-22 Racing Numbers:Refer also Section T7 (a) "To be on both sides of the tail, the background colour to have a minimum 13mm border. Thick numerals of not less than 300mm (12") in height." (d) "A number not less than 150mm x 15mm width per digit, be on the front centre of the bonnet, or on the top flat surface of the front wing."
