I dont think so I have been told that the track needs to run a min of 3 meetings with at least 8 cars on the track to be able to qualify to apply for the NZ title. If the title was awarded to Nelson i would not be entering as like rotorua i dont feel the track suits modifieds. Thats my opinion. Nothing against either track or the people that run them etc. There goes rotoruas chance then...To be honest and im not being bias cos its my home track, Frank prepares the best track so WP should host it . The track for the dirt cup last night was exceptional, the best I have seen in a long time Rotorua would be fine on the Criteria. They got 9 cars to the BOP Champs in December and will almost certainly have more than 8 for both days of their Easter meeting.

Rotovegas for me. And then, of course Stratford ;D, even with the Carnage of the NI's this season. Or am I just Biased? I wouldn't complain if it went to Woodford Glen, give me an excuse to visit the Garden City.

I think It should alternate between the 2 Islands and be in a place where it is capable of drawing spectator numbers, at the end of the day if the potential is there for spectator numbers, then it has to be good for the sport and clubs, and sponsors are going to know its an event to be part of.

all thoe nelsons a good track i think nelsons a bit small for the NZ title and not enough passing lanes i would like it to go to woodford glen but would fully support it going back to wellington for a second year it was a well prepared track that stood up well to all the mods runing on it and being in the middle of NZ its not that bad a tow 4hours from ch ch and a ferry ride

well from what Jamo has said on the "Mods attack rotorua" thread on the open wheel discussion board he said "As it happens Rotorua are not going for the unallocated 2012/13 NZ mod title anyway. My understanding is that Stratty and Greymouth are. Based on how many times Greymouth have run the class this year (and the numbers that have turned up) they would not qualify for the event so seems we may be heading to Stratty again so hopefully the nz title does go to stratty was awesome when they had the NI champs

Whats the reason for the resistance to want to hold the meeting? Do Mods cost too much in prize money to run.
