what happened to groups being up on the 15th,now the 18th,bet there isnt anywhere near the 100 that was said would be there, more like numbers in the 50s or 60s,would guess only 15 to 18 coming from the mainland now as money is gettin a lot tighter out there and not cheap to travel to north island these days

give gissyspeedway a break blackghost, hes probably only just getting entrys through now, there must be heaps of other things he needs to sort to. As for 100 cars who knows it was only ever an estimate,im sure the list will keep growing when everyone gets there entries in.

The local drivers are doing their part to make sure the event is a success. Quite impressive numbers for a class that has been touted as dying so many times.
Hope it all goes well for you Grissy Speedway, if it didn't clash with the teams we would have made the trek up. Never mind look forward to going to sunny Gisborne to watch the NI Stockcars.

Interesting that not many Chch cars will attend. Every week down here the streetstock drivers have a 50/50 raffle to raise money. hope they send enough cars...

Interesting that not many Chch cars will attend. Every week down here the streetstock drivers have a 50/50 raffle to raise money. hope they send enough cars... The year the biggest contingent went from Chch to the Nz title in Napier & stayed the week for the GP in Wellington cost approx $28k..... mind you they fundraised it all with gentlemans evenings, raffles, working at night for a magazine company (censoring) etc as well as the 50/50 lottery. In todays economy any amount going has to be applauded - its a costly trip & that water crossing takes up a lot of the funds
