Thanks for the nice comments. As for Douglas Stanaway i feel for him as, like us, he paid a engine builder expecting a good legal engine. 99% of us that buy our engines off professional engine builders want them to the limit but legal. I think they are stripping his engine down so whether the engine builder cocked-up, cheated or SNZ's whistler is faulty will hopefully be found out soon, hopefully for Douglas its the latter..... It was pointed out to me also that Chevs number is 74p as of course I'm 75p. Chev's achievement is more remarkable in that he owns the car himself, hes into the first year of his electrical apprenticeship and as you would imagine apprentice wages don't stretch to far. He had to borrow a tow wagon and strip my Tank for spares to get to Rotorua. The car is the 15 year old ex Fowler/Mcnichol/Palomountain/Mytton Superstock that we fully rebuilt over the last couple of years powered my a Ken Meehan VS Commodore, HQ box, Toyota diff by Rees Race Cars. Chev would like to thank the following sponsors-
Main Street Motors- Foxton Gary Worsley Motorcycles- Feilding Gary Swenson- Painting and Decorating
There is still loads of space left on his car if anyone would like to sponsor Chev. As i said before hes on a a very, very tight budget so any support would be appreciated.
Cheers The Green Hornet ;D Gavin Taniwha 75p

I don't have a business but if I could help Chev I totally would, I remember watching him chew through all the ministocks a while back, evidently one to watch... (and to clarify i'm only 24 so I'm not that old) so great to see him put that potential of his into action. Well deserved, well earned. Just awesome. Can't wait to see him race here in Wellington
