As we now know, history was made last night when Peter Rees won his 4th NZ Stockcar Title in Rotorua
I would suggest to say that this effort will not be repeated in my lifetime When this man retires, his record will be admired with jealousy and amazement!!
As the major sponsor of this living legend, I am proud to be associated with such a talent. The NZ Speedway fraternity should be proud of.
To all the negative people out there bagging such talent, just remember....try doing it yourself....

Two with Dave Evans in the Savell's Sound Centre tank, and now two with the Rees/Sound Auto's tank, if my memory serves me correctly. Guys like you are what gives guys like Peter Rees the chance to compete and to prosper; well done!

And the driver you choose to sponsor has repaid you in the best possible way; having 1NZ next to Sound Autos; hmmmmm; pretty much perfect for you, I should say. And a belated Merry Christmas to you too, and to your dear lady wife. Might see you at Palmy on January 6th.

Have to concur with the 'old bird' Peter Rees is a freak of nature with regards his on track success, outstanding ability that will possibly never be equaled.
Further more, looking at his son's driving I have realised myself and many others won't live long enough to not see the Rees name appearing on trophies regularly. Still haven't decided if that's a depressing thought or not.
Either way it's still talent and achievement deserving of recognition. Well done !!

Top Bloke, well deserved
Got to feel for jordan dare tho, although guys like rees allways amaze, it would have been fantasic to have a young, fairly new racer in jordan up in the top 3
great job to the top 28

Congrats Peter Rees, 1 NZ again... as well as so many other numbers, top results etc etc...BUT...you Rees fans shouldnt get too excited, the young fella Dare was so far in front of every body he only needed a 15th place finish it to win the whole thing...it took 5 cars to block him out of contention on the last lap...I know I know...thats stockcars...but Pete cant be feeling so great about it today...when the whole world knows he scraped in and only with a hell of a lot of help in the end... specialy when you think gaskin was booted out of the last race by a VERY dubious call from the powers that be...obviously no one loves Peter Rees as much as the official at Rotovegas last night........still I do wish he was lining up tonight in the super........im waiting now for the Rees fans to tear me a new one........bring it on

Kia ora everyone. Been a while since my last posting due to business commitments. I would like to add my congratulations to you Pete and your awesome team including Grandad and the rest of your crew who kindly offered me a drive of 1NZ around the pits last night - which I gratefully declined. Also congrats to Wiseowl and the other 1NZ sponsors who continue to contribute to your success. One thing I know about leaders is that they create their own luck and are surrounded by other leaders. You have all certainly demonstrated this and fully deserve the accolades of being !NZ for the fourth time in this class. I wish you all the best for the future and thank you for being the leaders of today. Green flags and green lights.

At the end, I was told about 4 cars were holding him up and on here someone mentioned 5. nope 24w took him into the wall and then 12w sat behind jordan not letting him out and 73p was beside jordan trying to push him sideways so he could limp over the line as jordan had no steering.was another palmy car there to with 73p but cant remember the number

Cheers Elmo.
Spotters thought they were holding him.
Thought that was strange.
