I thought Wellington finished in 2nd , 3rd and 4th in the race against the Titans. Palmy web site only shows Titans 120 to Wellington 65.
What's happened there ? 5 cars finished but only four placings awarded.

That's right they are on palmy website but it only shows four cars had placings.
120 to 65 only adds up to 185 points when there's 195 points per race.
3 W cars finished the race....so was wondering why only two had points

53w got excluded from the race for hitting after the flag.
Having said that eastern states were hitting him as well after the flag. ( appeard in front of me)
What I saw it was a bit crowded as cars dashed across the line with the titans blockers
Great race

Mr Levien was seen in the Referee's Box a short while after the race. He certainly seemed to hit a Blenheim car under red lights after the Kahui rollover. In fact when you saw it on the video screen, the car he hit was right under a set of lights, and the reds were on!

You cant be excluded from one race in a championship unless u win.U have to be excluded from the rest of the meating or not excluded at all
R12-4-4 SUPERSTOCK and STOCKCAR TEAMS RACING RULES
(m) Penalties - at the discretion of the referee (i) Fine: $100 to $1,000 (ii) Individual Exclusion (from the meeting). An exclusion in any one race by a non winning driver is not a penalty. (iii) Team Exclusion
lets see what happens here

Yes, the 5th placed Welly car was excluded after the race, costing the Young Guns 10 points. The final outcome of their group was ESS Titans 255, Wellington Young Guns 250, so the relegation turned out to be a big part of their night although this was not known at the time.
I think the above is covered by "at the discretion of the referee". While racing for points, which on the first night they were, the exclusion of a non-winning driver IS a penalty. I think that clause is to cover "first across the line" races where a backmarker can take out the leader on the last corner, and DQ'ing him would be no penalty therefore meaning the whole team has to go. Doesn't really apply in this case........

It was an all to easy way for the palmy promoters to get rid of the real threat for them not to ignore it. Just like when they shafted the tigers at the super stock teams last year.

Interpretation is a funny thing isn't it. I believe you have this wrong Barry B, the way I read(interpret) it the referee has three options when it comes to penalties, (i) a fine of some amount, (ii) exclusion of the non winning driver from the meeting, (iii) exclusion of team. As it states a penalty excluding a non winning car from a teams race "is not" a penalty.

So SNZ were wrong were they? even though several people have seen what happened??? Its nothing to do with PNSpeedway, what happened to Welly. That was all SNZ.

As far as hitting after the chequered goes, understand the rules !!!
**If you have passed the finish line and been shown the chequered flag, you cant hit other cars, even if the lights are still green.
**If you havent crossed the finish line, but other cars have, you can hit other cars provided the lights are green.
Therefore it is quite possible that cars that have finished the race can legally get hit by cars that havent. Also why you saw Ralph Gillespie stop to allow Rico Gray time to cross the line before completing a full lap after getting the win. Once the winning car has completed a full lap after the chequered then the lights go orange. Also, some drivers will pull into the centre after winning a race, which prevents them from being hit by cars yet to cross the finish line.
