I'll post pics of all teams. Here's some of the 2012 New Zealand Stockcar Teams Champions to begin with.. many more to come. The mighty Palmerston North Pumas image hosting pngLeft to right - Bruce Robertson (Track owner), Ian Parfit (Manager) Graeme Ward, Ron Tye, Peter Rees, Gavin Taniwha, Josh Prentice, Gary Davis, Alec Wilson. Gary Davis taking victory for his team - a big season for Gary, 1st Robin Pratt Memorial, 2nd Manawatu Stockcar Champs, Teams Invasion, and now this. jpg image hostingI'll post the whole 6 photo's in this sequence, but yeah P.L.Rees went in for the big one... image uploadBit blurry I know, but it was way down the other end of the track, there's 3 more in this series. jpg image hostingDid you know that the name Peter is derived from the Greek name Petros which means "stone" or "rock". hard as. image hosting jpg86B Marty Cooke taking a rock hard one from behind. gif image hostingThere are many more pictures to be added here. Congratulations Pumas ~ it's a pretty big thing to be a National Champion at anything, but especially so in the brutal world of Stockcar Teams racing. You guys, and your Pumas crew can be very proud indeed.

could wardy not fit in the tank that y alec drove it ?? No mate, I'm pretty sure it wasn't a fit issue - Wardy would drive a letterbox if it meant being part of the NZ Stockcar Teams final race, but he understands that not everyone who wants to be, can be out there at the same time, in the same car. At the end of the day someone selects the drivers to race each particular race, and that big responsibility lies with the team Manager. Just like everyone else in the Pumas team who have different roles - each very important to achieving the very high standards they set themselves. So, no mate - I don't think it was a fit issue, the results cannot be questioned, and Wardy and all of the Palmerston North Pumas team are very proud indeed. gif image hostingPS: Brendon Learmonth or the other pros have probably got a far better shot of this picture. Anyhow Rotaholic Anonymous, you'll probably know more than me... just for my records, how many teams has Mr Ward raced for, including Superstock Teams? image hosting jpg

EDIT: i think i might need to dig through my collection of old teams champs programs. also, why has no one tried starting a wiki or web site to document all of this?

He's racing the 6K Superstock at Meeanee this weekend in preparation for the next big meetings. I've seen him drive from 24th to win there, so he knows the track. I saw the 3 car freight train wind off where Wardy lost his hat, and I know what goes around, comes around. I'm lovin' this summer.
