The only Goal I have next year is to get the Grizzlies to PN for the teams champs.
End of. ( cockney coronation street accent included at your leisure)
I think we have the machinery and the drivers, anhd crew member support to give it a good crack.
The tactical nouse and guidence is were we suffer - there isn't really a legacy of teams racing, and no one really who wants to come on board and manage the team. These gaps were probably apparent to those who saw us race at Nelson, though a big thanks to cleve who stepped up on the night to help us at least get through the formalities.
We do have a good team vibe however, and some positives as listed above.
Hope to be in PN next year giving it our all.
I'm sure the Thunder have the same desire, but also some other concerns before getting there - Finance is always a biggy for us both.

I was wondering this as I watched on Speedbox. Hopefully both teams are off to the south islands which may give them an idea for where they stand nationally. I don't want to sound disloyal but if theres a gap between the titans to the crushers and then down to the others then nationals is likely to be a step too far.
Also wondered about a team from the deep south with 3 tracks (if they were allowed to combine) and thought wow, 15 teams at the nationals.
Bay park could make it 16!!! And have I missed any other SNZ tracks?
With 16 teams is 2 tiers possible or even attractive as an option? Could reduce the number of one side pummelings (see how long the Cougars lasted in superstocks with that).
Don't get me wrong, there are some awesome cars and drivers here in Nelson and really keen to see them teams race the best. It still needs to be worth their while though.

the thunder as far as i am aware are still heading south for the south islands. that is a wee way off yet. we also have the return away race with the grizzles. not sure about the return away race owed to the crushers, think there was issues trying to fit it into the wfg schedule. so the dust is not settling on the thunder. ;D

I believe there is one owed by the Thunder with the Titans for the Teece Trophy. so could be a busy time for them.

Is that date confirmed For SOuth Island Teams? Had a phone call along time ago asking if we would be interested in attending, and we indicated that date was the same date as our west coast stockcar champs.
If thats the go ahead date, will test the waters with our team members, and see if the Grizzlies can rustle up a trip down south - be interesting to hear what teams are invited, and what the format is?
If they are keen to go will have to change the date of the West COast stockcar champs, which is a little bit of a bugger,as that was looking like a great time for that meeting.,

Just spoke to club pres and Dale (grade rep) and they both said 17th March. that date has been set since around the middle of the off season. it's the weekend after the stock shock in Nelson. cheers, Cliff.

Thanks for the heads up Cliff - hope the tanks are going well this season?
Week after stock shock makes it a bit tough as I know there were a bunch of GM cars that always like heading up to that, so backing up after a two day meeting in nelson with a big drive down to Invers will be a bit of an ask - will follow up with teams members/supporters.
