Ask the seller to try the scrambler in his car before you buy it!!!!
As in speed past a radar, if it works he won't get a ticket!!

At the moment, yes as far as I know. I have my doubts they work though. Detectors are legit at the present time, may change soon. Though the boys in blue don't run their radars all the time now. They just flick them on and in 2 seconds they have you. Try stopping from 160km to 110 in that time, if you manage to keep it straight, I think they would ping you for dangerous driving... ;D ;D ;D ;D

The police dont say exactly where they are on the scanners all the time, unless they are responding to an incident. An amusing thing to listen to though ;D Why dont people just not speed and save the money for other things Scramblers = illegal Radar detectors work if you are lucky, otherwise they basically tell you yup, you just got pinged ;D

a long time ago, i mail ordered a passive radar jammer from the usa, since sold it. they work in most applications by mixing an extra electronic chirp in the returning signal to the radar gun, which confuses the radar gun. they do not work on pole mounted speed cameras. plenty of reviews on the internet that claim they do work, and also claim they don't work. my one seemed to work ok, but perhaps it depends on brand and specification.

I'm with Clive. If you are doing 160kmh on our roads, let me know and I will keep myself, my wife, my kids and all my friends at home. Cheers.

just reread this thread, no one any where is claiming to be traveling at 160km, other than it would be dangerous to attempt to stop or slow down quickly from that speed.
so i don't really understand why a couple of posts are getting all excited about people speeding at 160km, unless of course they are referring to their own driving habits, which would also be odd.

Geez guys, What I SAID "was try stopping from 160 to 110, and keep it straight" Someone mentioned that" that is what ABS was designed for" You will still be noticed.
Oh well go the whole hog, try 200-110.
JUST JOKING>>>>>>

All read and understood ...but if you are doing 100, why bother about the radar detector at all? Unless you are doing 100 past a school I guess ... ;D

my brother has one and it has saved him a ticket or two in the past the cheep one's don't work very well as he found out but if you spend $1500 to $2000 on the right one you won't have to many probs as they pick them up a about a km away in 360 deg giving you heeps of time to slow down but as for jaming them i don't think so, but as we know we don't speed on the roads thats what the tracks for ;D

I have found a website that has some interesting info for you: www.radarbusters.com/I gather you are talking about the "Rocky Mountain Radar" that advertise being a Jammer. Have a look at the Videos that WWOR- TV NEWS put on: www.radarbusters.com/support/choosing-detector/5.aspI am myself looking at Radar Dectors but I will be spending a min of about $460 (Beltronics - RX series). It costs alot more for jammers but at least they will stop u getting pinged by laser and once u r at the speed limit turn it off to allow the cop to get your reading. The Lasers are normally aimed at your headlights or Licience plate so u need to get sensors to cover this area...not cheap.
