Perhaps if you weren't so easily baited they'd go away ;D Seriously though, it's not that difficult to work out why the rest of the country wants to see the Panthers lose once in a while is it? |

Its not because I am easily baited Barry... this has been going on for years.. even to the point where people have actually wished drivers harm and that they would hurt themselves severely.. that is why I get annoyed with this so-called campaign. The Palmy drivers put everything on the line like every other driver that goes into any sort of championship, they work just as hard, but they work together, I just dont wish to see any of them harmed. Yes, I can see why the rest of the country wants the Panthers to lose, and yet the year they did lose, what happened, the "smash the P" still happened... you cant take anything away .. the Panthers are the pick of the teams, so perhaps, other clubs should look at their formula and see how they do it ...... and when they did lose... they came back tougher the following year. |

Don't take it personally speedway kitty, I've used the slogan before , lightheartedly mind u, jibs in the grandstand etc,
but only because the panthers are just so darn good !!!
They're like the all blacks of our sport
Its a show of respect in my opinion ...
And if u look at both palmy teams,there's probably alittle jealously to
good luck to all teams,, but ..

Yes, Palmy have got a few young ones that are definitely up and coming panthers ..... but in saying that Miers, Rees, Joblin ... are all good racers in their own rights.. and dont need to walk on the coat tails of their dads/brother. Same here, good luck all to all the teams, but my heart is saying go the Panthers... but extremely good luck to the Mustangs & the Warriors |

I have a friend who lives in town here who jibes me constantly about backing a losing team etc etc.. but I give it back. There are the extremists though (those who wish harm or in some cases death (After the Peter Rees roll of last year people in the GStand screaming out kill him, kill Peter Rees) ), and its a shame really because thats what takes away the good hearted banter that comes with Teams Racing. I will admit, I'm over the 'smash the p' thing mysef because it's just an annoying thing to read ALL the time from a certain Beachball. BTW love the AB's reference, specially cos the Panthers are in black  |

I want to see a different final four this year. Its always a great battle tigers vs panthers but im kinda over it. all teams look really good it was hard to pick my final four. no preferance on placings just as long as its these four.

Teams champs probably isn't the place for those that don't want to see a bit of Smash Bash and Banter. I don't want to see drivers hurt but wrecked cars is all good. |

Those that want to see harm to the drivers are in an absolute minimum, and certainly won't be tolerated on here or at the track if they get caught saying or doing anything out of place. But wishing harm to the team cars is a truly acceptable sport. It's what the passion ond history of the Teams Champs is built on. They're not racing slot cars............

may be a slap together team but they have been for a while now anyway and still won the title in aucks last year regardless.
Palmy Panthers
howmany times have they won in a row now? enuff said.
Manawatu Mustangs
always a good hitting team that can be darn hard to stop.
GB lions
from fourth to third to second. they have improved every year, this one isnt likely to be an exception.

Wanganui Warriors
The legend K.P returns to add what can arguably be called one of the best hitting brains in the sport....Mooney and Barron add further strike power, add the old head in Watkins and son of Legend George Duncan in Scott, and you have a team which has proven in the past to upset the favoured teams and is often (mistakenly) overlooked.
Rotorua Rebels
Some collected heads throughout the team who know how to get the job done, and they will be fired up with the off-track politics this season.
Baypark Busters
Reforming and looking to return to their glory days, you surely cant go past this team who know how to hit block and read races.
Manawatu Mustangs
Arguably the best lineup for a few years and they will seriously be looking to become the number one Manawatu team.
All in all it's going to be a cracker of a meeting, and no one will be left wanting on or off the track.
