Below is the link to Tuesday's two speedway interviews with Mark Osborne and Steve Lennon. www.radiolivesport.co.nz/Mark-Osbourne--Steve-Lennon---Speedway/tabid/454/articleID/17603/Default.aspxNow, due to some proposed (and yet to be announced) programming changes at LiveSPORT, the regular speedway interviews as part of the weekly Motorsport Hour will cease earlier than usual this summer. Next Tuesday morning will be the last this season. Speedway content will still crop up during regular programming from time to time, and how next summer shapes up - outside of the daily 2-hour Xmas/New Year Speedway Summer Specials - is still to be determined. March 30th, a Sunday morning, sees the start of a new motorsport show (also yet to be officially announced, but produced and hosted by a well known Sky Television personality) which will also have a speedway content. More details on this closer to the time.

Hi all. Sorry for the lack of coverage and updates on here since the new season got underway. Circumstances (my own) have meant a delay in speedway coverage kicking off on LiveSPORT this summer, but we should be to air within the next week or so. The two-hour daily shows will also be reduced in number for the 2014/15 season, maybe just a couple of weeks this time around, but more details later as soon as I'm able to confirm what time I actually have available to me.
Best of luck to all competitors, sponsors, officials and spectators for the entire summer, and let's hope the weather plays ball.

Just a brief update as to what's happening this summer as far as speedway on LiveSPORT goes. Due only to my unavailability to either produce and/or host any shows in January this season, the daily 2 hour (9am -11am) Speedway Summer Specials will be limited to three days only in December this time around, December 29th, 30th and 31st. We approached a number of other people who were unable or unavailable to assist, and of course a fair number of our speedway voices (such as Jamie McCarthy, Paul Hickey and Dave Birdling) have non-Mediaworks affiliations which makes them unacceptable to both parties so they weren't even asked as we already knew the answer!! Some others approached had TRN links I was unaware of, while most, understandably, just did not have the first two weeks of January free. Hopefully normal transmission will be resumed in the summer of 2015/16, but meantime the three shows at the end of December will be chock full of great content. Please do tune in...

Just a reminder that the LiveSPORT Speedway-only shows start at 9am tomorrow morning, Monday, and run through to Wednesday, so just the 6 hours of dedicated speedway coverage this season, 2 hours per day.
Content for tomorrow morning's show will be put up shortly, but a very special hour tomorrow (Tuesday) will go behind the scenes in the setting up of a relatively new Midget operation with a view of taking on the established teams. In the studio from 9am from the Vernon & Vazey team we'll have team owner Terry Lines, spanner man Tim Clark and wheel men Rico Abreu and Darren Hagen, and one has to say they've been doing a pretty good job of it so far. More later.
If anybody has anybody they'd particularly like to have a listen to, please just post here and I'll do my best to get them on.

I'll put the links to today's interviews up when I get the chance, but I've got tomorrow's show to prepare and a return trip to Baypark from Auckland tonight to squeeze in, so time is tight!!www.radiolivesport.co.nz/Summer-Speedway-Show-part-1/tabid/454/articleID/21850/Default.aspxwww.radiolivesport.co.nz/Summer-Speedway-Show-part-2/tabid/454/articleID/21851/Default.aspxOn tomorrow's show we'll have the integral part Team Vernon & Vazey (Terry Lines, Tim Clark, Darren Hagen & Rico Abreu) in the studio for one hour, so that should be fun, while Hour 2 will consist of some of the winners from around the country tonight (those that we can get) and some other Midget and Superstock hot shoes. UPDATE 30/12/14; Hour 2 of the show today will feature Ben Harding, Callum Flavell (new NI Stockcar champion), Jamie McDonald, Brock Maskovich and Rodney Wood. Had hoped to have Joe Faram and/or Shane Penn on, but Joe is unavailable and I've as yet been unable to get in contact with Shane. Barry B

Tomorrw's show was supposed to be 90% Superstocks, but due to the unavailability of many, and a number I was unable to get hold of, we've got a few Superstock drivers mixed in with a bit of a variety.
So far it's stacking up as Mark Osborne, Malcolm Ngatai, Dale Robertson, Peter Rees, Aaron Drever, horse race commentator and mega speedway fan Aaron White, Bryce Steiner, Jordan Dare, Michael Pickens and Bryan Clauson, subject to overnight change (which often happens).

This is a copy of a Media Release being circulated this afternoon, February 10th 2015. More later........
Subject: Announcement: LiveSPORT & TAB Trackside Radio
Hi everyone, I want to update you on some changes to LiveSPORT and the TAB Trackside radio frequency. LiveSPORT currently broadcasts on the TAB Trackside Radio frequency – providing TAB with morning programming including the Breakfast of Champions and Farming on the Field. The TAB is developing Trackside Radio as part of a wider strategic development, and will be creating new content for these timeslots. As a consequence, we will be bringing LiveSPORT to a close in April. This is the end of an era for LiveSPORT, but also a time of new opportunities for MediaWorks. We have been looking at our sports broadcasting strategy and are taking a different approach to how Sport is covered across our radio, television and digital platforms. Recruitment is about to begin for a Group Head of Sport who will help lead this new approach across the business. On the radio side, we of course continue to cover sport across our brands, especially RadioLIVE and The Rock. I want to thank Content Director Scott Walker and everyone in the LiveSPORT team for their contribution to the brand. I am very proud of what we have achieved with LiveSPORT over the past decade. Scott will move to the vacant Operations Manager role at RadioLIVE, and we are talking with other affected staff about opportunities within the company. I also want to acknowledge the longstanding partnership between MediaWorks and the TAB. We will continue to have a strong commercial relationship.
