The Friday December 10th NZ Super Saloon show is shaping up good, although it will be split up with 3 Sprintcar phone interviews (1nz Peter Murphy, 2nz Dean Brindle and 0usa Jonathan Allard) as well, due to them all being on a plane for the duration of our show tomorrow morning.
Joining me in the studio on Friday will be commentator Malcolm Sines, and drivers confirmed for the studio so far include 2nz Richie Taylor, 3nz Ian Burson and 24a Ben Harding. 1nz Mark Osborne can't make it in, so we'll probably let the 2nz and 3nz loose on him!! Brent Emerson will be on the phone too, as will Grant Flynn, and we're just waiting to receive confirmation from a couple of others that we hope can make it in to the ummmm, plush LiveSPORT studios.
Tomorrow morning (Thursday) will be another split Sprintcar / Super Saloon show, and confirmed so far are 3nz Daniel Eggelton, Jason Scott, Jamie McDonald, Matt Honeywell and Jamie Larsen, then Steve Willams, Terry Corin, Campbell McManaway, Kristin Vermeulen and Josh Boulton.
Also Family Passes to give away tomorrow to Waikaraka Park (1 for each night of the Super Saloons), Baypark (Saturday night) and Cromwell (NZ Sprintcar Champs weekend). Text in your answers to our questions on the "Speedway" text line and be in to win with LiveSPORT!!!

The link to today's (Friday) show. Dean Brindle and Peter Murphy are sadly missing from the line up due to dodgy cell phone coverage (same phone,resulting in both interviews being lost), and a huge thanks (NOT) to the not-so-super Super City Council for ticketing our guests for parking slightly over time whilst they were in the studio. Three interviews were pre-recorded in the studio today, making use of the availability of certain people that will not be as readily avaiable once we're back on air next Monday. These will be played Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
There's an extensive 16 minute interview with current (until later on tonight) NZ Sprintcar champion Peter Murphy, done ahead of him leaving for Australia early Monday morning.
A 10 minute interview with Michael Pickens with regards the Chili Bowl, as he too flies out early Monday morning on his way to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
And a 3 segment, 30-odd minute piece with the man whose cars are currently dominating the Super Saloon scene, basically talking about the Super Saloon scene?
Exact times for each will be posted later.......

Well this has been the toughest show of the summer to fill, not through lack of choice but through lack of availability and contact-ability (if there is such a word). There's still a slot vacant, but the rest of the show is (fingers crossed) as follows;
* Michael Pickens * Chris Cowling * Dan Corrin * Nigel Ross * Phil Towgood
* Mick Quin * Kyle Fraser * Scott Joblin * Peter Rees * Malcolm Ngatai
Friday's guests confirmed so far include Daryl Ainsley, AJ Batt, Peter Bengston and Michelle Wymer.

Right, tomorrow's show is basically full already, barring the usual last minute withdrawls, switches, juggles etc. Some people invited onto the show this summer (and we would like to give a greater number of drivers and sponsors coverage) have been taking 16-20 hours to confirm their availabilty (either way), and think that it's alright to say "ok" (or not) as the host is on his way into the studio with usually 10 interviews to conduct. Some also then wonder why they've already been replaced!! It helps to have at least some idea what is going to be talked about, and with whom, over the 2 hour period before turning on the mic at 9am!!!! Hence, often late at night, the "new voices" we've left messages for about coming onto the show the next day, get replaced by others that can be relied on to pick up when called. That may answer the question that often gets asked; "Why do you use (insert name) so much?" In the main virtually all speedway people are sensational with their time, however some drivers just don't get it.
It'll be pretty loose tomorrow I imagine, as it is the last show after 32 hours on air over the past 3-and-a-half weeks. The line up should go something like this;
* Daryl Ainsley (NZ Saloons) * Frankie Wainman Jnr [UK] (World 240's) * Aaron Drever (Live from Chili Bowl) * Tom Harris [UK] (World 240's) TBC
* AJ Batt (Sprintcar Gold Cup over a latte) * Peter Bengston (World 240's) * Tim Savell (SNZ CEO) * Michelle Wymer (NZ Saloons, our weather girl) * Barry Brown Rap Wrap (a look back at 32 hours of speedway)
