I agree stumo it's great to see that most teams have tried to keep it local or as close to it as poss.

Where were you tagged in that comment as saying its BS?? easy tiger!! if you read alot of comments made they are speculation or just BS. my comment wasnt to offend anyone personally, Im rapt that the wildcats are able to have a team.

No Waikato....I'm disgusted, may be that's a bit harsh...highly peeed off is probably a better term. Guess Waikato supporters (an I'm one) will have to support the R or the M, or as in the past when there has been a Waikto team racing the N's Like to hear Red Wootten's view on the subject, as Tony W is not even registered to H. O for awesome the Wildcats are there... Hemi get that selector sorted.

Red and Tony sat down and discussed it before Tony moved to an M. basically its the next logical step for him - to be a better driver he is best off to register where he can race more often and learn from the experienced guys. Theres no bad blood etc, its just a sad fact that the superstocks have too few numbers at huntly this year to make the teams. that said he is still a huntly boy at heart and I would be very surprised if that ever changed.

Wouldn't R be a logical choice. There is more supers there. At M they just race at the back of the stocks. Racing around mobile chicanes on the widest track in NZ doesn't seem the next logical step. Really happy to have him as an M though.

Maybe, but at baypark he can learn to be a fast driver from people of like mind - Im not gonna say anything bad about rotorua drivers, but its a few from baypark that have taken him under thier wing and started giving pointers. maybe thats why he's there?

Another thing with being an M Superstock sonic33, is that with only a half dozen nights per year it gets plenty of opportunity to travel as well, including doing most meetings at Rotorua should he want.
Let's do it on the terracotta,
Barry B

There is also the fact that drivers will register to a club/ track that like to be part of and personally from experience Baypark would be one of the best . Great facilitys and a real friendly / helpful bunch of people to race with. Seriously considering going back there myself .

It's not just being fast, it's learning to be "race smart," with Superstocks this is unlike other forms of race smart (except Stockcars). I'm not convinced Baypark is the best track for that, moving around tracks and race time is the best way to gain experience, I think that is why so many visiting speedway drivers do well here because they have so much time on the track back in their home country. Getting back to "NO WAIKATO TEAM" - with only 3 registered cars currently at Huntly it was a big ask to find a team. Unfortunately it's a vicious circle, as top drivers sign to other tracks other drivers follow for what ever reason. My opinion, what Huntly needs to do is make it inviting and worth their while for drivers to move back. For a good team driver all he needs is: A SS that is fast and doesn't stop going, can climb off walls unassisted, a body (human) that can take the knocks, not knock outs, a will to live, have a 6th & 7th sense and eyes like a cameleon! Chuck in some Redbands and who have we got?

6th driver one would assume... well, 5th driver, and 6th become 5th... and a new 6th driver.

J miers is captain of the mustangs, can't imagine they will bring him into panthers with this being the case. Very interesting times all the same!
