I will say this again one man does not make a team come on No but the skills of rees and his ability to win races is a massive loss and will give other teams some hope of beating Panthers. That rotorua race few years back at teams is a great example of rees abiltiy to clutch a win with rotorua only needing to stop him. Personally I think if Panthers dont have Rees tbey will still be hard to beat but definitely a LOT easier.

His presence can definitely impact on the way a team approaches a race and their tactics, He demands attention (as do all the panthers) but he is an on track leader and the car with most eyes on it…both from the crowd and the opposition.

His absence would definitely be felt even more so if another of the Panthers was to miss the weekend or one night of racing also ….

Well the rules do state that if a driver is knocked unconscious that it's a 21 day stand down, so that should be the answer. To put that to bed even further, he was unconscious for a few minutes, went to hospital, and today is rather sore and bruised up. He's definately out. Furthermore it would be stupid to pull drivers out of the Mustangs who are a team of their own and NOT a feeder team as some perceive. Hemi has committed to Wellington and good on him, the Panthers will have a replacement good enough to step in who isn't listed for another team

I do see what you're saying, but they've been their own team since the 80s and now more than ever they have their own identity and decent chance of winning. You can't pull that team apart that's all I'm saying, and they won't drag anyone out to fill panthers. :-)

Rees hasn't really been in the form he has in previous seasons so not such a big loss as might have been in years gone by, what is more concerning is that with the number of superstocks palmy has is that people are struggling to name a replacement driver/car that is currently racing and up to the task of teams racing. Are the Mighty Panthers going to call on a ring in!?

Soi ill say it for you With Penn, Joblins, and previously Hemi, and now talk of Barr and McCabe - the team has had ring-ins for a very long time They would certainly not look as strong if a state of origin type meeting was held!

Penn , Joblins ,Barr , McCabe,Hemi are all dedicated Palmy registered drivers and can credit their success in racing to the Palmy guys that support them at the big meetings. I doubt that they would have obtained the same success if they were racing out of their home tracks . Get the picture McFly , these drivers are staunch Palmy drivers and have been for many years [ not ringins ] Get over it .
Take a good hard look at some of the other teams that are heading to Palmy and see how many are not registered to their own home track . I think you have tunnel vision ..

Shame about Pete, never fails to entertain. If I was going to 'call' someone in it would be Tony Whittaker, and this from a die hard Tigers fan.
