oh So it's all good to be getting info of FB now is it? I'm not a FB person myself, but if VideoHub were really serious about rectifying this situation they should be emailing each of their Friday night customers direct. Once you've used them you get plenty of mail from them, but nothing on the refund offer to date, not even in response to questions asked. It says it might take a "few days", so let's see if they honour that. Let's do it on the terracotta, Barry B

Stream was much much better on Night 2, virtually faultless. Still doesn't excuse the way we were treated after Night 1 however. Is "lied to" too strong an expression? I've been unwell, hence I wasn't there this year as normal, but after the Busters made the Semi's I did have somebody on standby to drive me down from Auckland to watch the second night. The announcement of a free stream for Night 2 meant financially that was a ridiculous thing to consider however, so I stayed home only to find out 1 hour before racing commenced that the offer had been withdrawn. To say I wasn't happy is something of an understatement. Hopefully some communication from the provider will be forthcoming. Barry B Totally right barry have they offered any explanations as to why thy withdrew the free night as they stated. After hearing it was free we spent our xtra money on meat for a bbq and had a few friends and family over to watch it then cum race time had to scrample to find sum1 with money on there creditcard to watch it only to find it wasnt working yet again with no explanation on there website that we would need google chrome to view it after downloading that it was 7.40pm just in time for the 1st teams race. After the 1st night of diabolical crap and being lied to and not having clear instructions of how to view the content it was just an ok service picture quality not great and sound was terrible i would rate maybe 2 out of 10 only being generous because busters won and im in a good mood It did actually state on the video hub website that it works best with google chrome. We must have been one of the lucky ones on night one, because our stream worked fine apart from missing the video halfway through first busters race (still had audio) by just seeing a sponsor ad, and then missed the sound but had the video for the next couple of races. Had no issues with night two whatsoever.

forgetting the fact that there was a malfunction in the usa... why was the camera work and the whole production so poor on night one and back to normal on night two...it really looks like they tried to go with cheap cheap everything on night one from the gear hired in to the men working the gear and changed tack for night two...Barry, got any insight with your experience....

So they state on Facebook that tonights racing will be free, now it's not free and there is no word on whether they will refund last night. Just forward you receipt and they will "sort it out". What the heck does that mean? This Chris Morton bloke should be in jail with all the other crooks. Reading this does capture my imagination of people with past experiences

No, but it did seem like on Night 2 they had at least one different person behind the camera, and the one I'm talking about is the one up high behind the flag man. Either that or they just had an off-night on the Friday, but EVERYTHING about the second night was up a notch. Let's do it on the terracotta, Barry B

I think this has happened before and they have said that on weeknights, someone can't make it or something like that ( i would assume either their best cameraman or an editor or director or whoever swaps cameras at the correct time?). It may have been last years teams i am thinking of. In the past they have had less cameras on the first night of an event for less price and stuff like that too, so Friday night was a real debacle. I saw at about 6 or 6:30 that they were not doing the free Saturday night after stating that after Friday it would be "completely free" and was ropable! If they give us a refund, i will try their service again, but if not i definitely will not, especially for overcharged prices like that. On Facebook one person using the videohub account said that another person had put that it would be "completely free" incorrectly. I daresay Friday night will have cost them alot of future business. Problems happen, but it is how a company deals with those problems that makes the difference.

I personally think a lot of people causing a stink had problems at there end. Either not having all the codecs, Below spec hardware and internet connection. We only missed half of one race and had no sound for another on the froday night but must admit the presentation was below average and should be refunded. We had no problems night two and was happy with the presentation. However i think it was worth $37 nzd not $47 nzd.

So how do you explain many of these people had no problems with previous streams, and had no problems on the Saturday night? I'm sure most of us were watching on the same equipment as previously...... Let's do it on the terracotta, Barry B

That would be some people who could not initially get it, but on Night 1, it seems about 90% of people had it fall over, and videohub said that it was their suppliers fault. To be honest after reading that i was quite suprised when iaccellerate and others said that they got the complete stream.

I had problems at the very very start of night one, which involved no video for two laps and no audio (but video) for two races, after that though it was fine. The audio was quite bad the rest of the night however. As i've stated, nothing worth crying over

Remember iaccellerate says he is 16 yr's old speedway mad kid from Christchurch. The target audience was older. Maybe iaccellerate could setup these "Below spec hardware and internet connection" in future This might be an opening for him to help and advise how to setup these/us older folks for next live stream. Hopefully he charges a market rate.

I could do that. (Im not sure how to respond so thats the sarcastic answer)
Realistically though, as stated I think it was just complete and sheer luck that I didn't lose the stream, I know people with better hardware than myself and they had problems with it. Which means there is absolutely nothing we can do about it.
I know that my computer and internet will handle watching the High Quality stream but that wasn't the problem that everyone had (selecting the wrong stream quality).
Hopefully next time/season everything will be sussed, whether it's videohub, or another provider.
I feel like we are all continuing something that maybe doesn't need to be continued?

Are you sure you are only 16 you seem to be very wise for 16 and btw thanks for the updates while my stream was down on friday All my id's, my mum and birth certificate all say 97.. So I think so. It's not so much that im very wise, I actually struggle at school because I don't apply myself because I don't really enjoy it. Wanted to be an engineer - failed Chemistry and Physics so can't now. My generation have grown up around computers and technology, I love technology and computers so I tend to stay with it, if im in class and a teacher has a problem im generally called upon by fellow class mates but im anything but a "nerd" or a "geek" as some may say. My dad also played a part in my computer knowledge. No problem re the results either. I say it everywhere, I love doing it so will continue to do so. Now, as much as I love everyone talking about me, I feel like a bit of a [__insert bad word___] sitting here talking myself up. In the future though, if anyone has any technical problems and need help, I am willing to help out, pm or messaging on appropriate boards. So the mods dont have to say it. Can we get back on topic please

oops sorry still learning how to drive this site. i wanted to add to barry b comment. i have streamed this year already with the same provider(video hub) and with the same equipment three times with no issues what so ever. infact loved the product i got and appreciated being able to watch something i couldnt attend. howe ever, i certainly had issues this time round, both nights and didnt get to see a thing. i tried down loading google chrome but this didnt help. is there other programs that i need to get for the stream to run. if so shouldnt the video hub link/set up page tell me for instance i need this, this and that for the stream, feed to run. i will email them and ask as i want to use this product again.

I can't think of any other things that you may need to watch it. Especially if you haven't had issues before sorry. Will keep thinking though
