Was a good night! Congratulations to all the winners. SuperSaloons 12m Kristin Vermuelen. SuperStocks 19c Malcolm Ngatai. Sprintcars 1NZ Rodney Wood. (Not sure of stockcars, midgets, street stocks)
Question: who was in 7m Superstock in the feature. .?? It wasn't Kyle because he was sitting in the crowd. 33r Robbie Maybe nailed them big time, then they got collected twice more after going thumbs down

Well I thought I got my $25 worth.
19c Malcolm Ngatai was my driver of the night. A class and some above the rest of them in the Superstock field. His driving in the third heat was extremely mature, only going as hard as needed to maintain the gap to the car behind him.
The Stockcars put on a show with a massive barrel roll for 741a Craig Chatfield the most memorable moment of the night. The 16b entry was the points leader after 2 heats and was just about the only car not touched in heat 3. Plenty of drivers willing to use the bumper.
Streetstocks who numbered 11 and the Golden Oldies went out of their way to put on a show.
Super Saloons were exciting but for some bizarre reason ran the stupid 3 heat format. A retirement handing 12m the title from 3nz and 1nz. Midgets did run fastest to the front and showed the Supers how it's done with a last corner pass gaining the appreciation of the fans.
The 4-car Sprintcar field was a joke.
The only thing worse than the Sprintcars were the officials who seemed determined to put someone in hospital judging by their inaction in activating the yellow and red lights. There were at least 5 incidents of some of the dumbest stuff you will ever see from an officiating crew. The 66b stockcar receibed a 22 day stand down which was fair enough. I was hoping someone was going to issue the officials with a 22-day stand down because they would have been well deserving of it.
Anyhow a good night out at Huntly Speedway to finish the season.

Was a absolute joke how many stationary cars were hit whilst their drivers were clearly giving the thumbs down, must have been at least one a heat

Would have to agree with that Percy, they seemed to be holding off the red or yellow as the incidents occurred in the last 1 or 2laps. ie midget last heat in turn 1-2 for two laps.
Pole shuffle for saloons and midgets would have been good to add to the program.

Pole shuffle for saloons and midgets would have been good to add to the program. What is this fascination for pole shuffles all about? , they used to be a rare novelty thing but these days they seem to happen at almost every meeting. Most of the challenges are done with after the first turn with just an occasional full on battle breaking the monotony, meanwhile a full field sits and waits and waits in the pits. Why does speedway have to do things to death ?, thankfully we seem to be getting over the 4 wide salute and time trial fads. Probably the wrong thread but couldn't restrain myself.

Would have been better to let 66b out in the remaining races, then issue the 22 day stand down after the meeting I reckon At least then he may have gotten what he really deserved before the car sells!

So the points tie for 3rd place in the Stockcars, 651a and 18m from memory, was going to be decided by the toss of a coin in the clubrooms instead of a runoff; anybody know the result?

Barry B Apparently Barry they couldn't find a coin! This was due to the expense of running the meeting and the cost of a competitor to run a vehicle, so it's declared a draw!!

I think he must have got collected in the same incident, because the side rail was caved in and the medics were all over it.

Well there's three different answers to one question; 1/a draw due to no coin, 2/ a different result (with 18m tied for 2nd place with another car) and 3/ 18m winning the toss.
Off the ELS it was 16b 82 points, 84s 70 points, 651a and 18m 69 points. I'm confused.........
