Not sure if this is permitted here as it is looking for sponsorship but this is what is currently floating around Facebook in regards to the Supers heading to Aussie. Admin, please delete the offending part of the post if it's not permitted.
Now that the SNZ Awards is finished, its now time to focus on putting a deal together to get 16 Superstocks across to Australia on the 27th and 28th of September at Toowoomba Speedbowl followed by Maryborough Speedway the following weekend.
As it is a expensive exercise to do this, the Australian Promoter, Alan Woods has fronted it up with $24000.00 to contribute towards bring these cars over. This has left a shortfall of $11000.00.
Alan Woods has said that if he cannot raise the $11k needed within 2 weeks of Saturday the 22nd of June, then there will be a withdrawal of the offer for the Superstocks to go to Australia until next season.
In an attempt to raise the $11k shortfall, there is an offer for 4 sponsors to come on board and sponsor a team for the series. This is an outstanding once in a life time opportunity to put your business to the forefront of New Zealand Speedway as we take 16 Superstock Drivers over to Australia to showcase our première grade in New Zealand Speedway. The amount is very minimal for the exposure that you will get both here and across the ditch with Newspaper and T.V advertising on offer in Australia. This event will also be live audio streamed for maximum exposure.
For a one off fee of $3000, you will have naming rights of a team and whilst they are away, they will be referred to as for example .. The Pits North Island Select Team. This is a great opportunity for anyone that wishes to have there business promoted both overseas and in New Zealand.
If you are in New Zealand and are interested in this proposal, then please send an email to thepits@xtra.co.nz . There has been a huge amount of work that has gone into this and we would hate to have to postpone if till next year. Please... get behind this and that's make it happen so that next year will be the 2nd show.....
Please share this and let me know ASAP if you can help
Cheers Jase

I think there are lots of things that need to be addressed before this event goes ahead clearly you need to firstly name the drivers that are going and my biggest concerns are insurance for cars and drivers and where the cars will be stored and whose taking them from track to track call me fussy but when you have 100k plus cars being shipped round the place just got to be a question of concern I would be happy to sponsor a car or driver if there was more info cheers sue Levien

I agree with Sue, theres a lot if things that need to be made sure are in place. Are the drivers aware of having to get their own insurance with NASA? Are the cars being flown or shipped? Who are the drivers and where are these 16 cars coming from? How are they getting from Brisbane up to Toowoomba and out to Maryborough? Accommodation? We too could be keen to sponsor a car/team if we know the ins and outs.

Why superstocks? because their a more attractive class. the cost is the same weather you cart a superstock or a stockcar, and they sound better go faster and most are kept to a higher standard of presentation then stockcars. If you want to look like a professional racing operation send the superstocks. I understand night in night out stockcars put on a more appealling show for the contact fans but the scream of a full field of superstocks heading into turn 1 cant be beat

Stockcars are listed as being a queensland class, somewhere I've seen a photo of them & they look like low budget ministocks crossed with UK stockcars in comparison to ours with minimal siderails etc I can see how superstocks would be more appealing due to them running V8s, the aussies may have issues with the small motor size. I think the number of cars going wouldn't have changed if it had of been stockcars instead Hopefully they are able to sort things for next year
