Congratulations Steve Williams
One of our own, Steve Williams has been honoured, inducted in to the Caddie Hall of Fame. Has me wonder, do we have a 'Speedway Hall of Fame?

we should , as most successful drivers run successful businesses as well
so a lot of time and effort go into both.
and as we know it aint easy on both counts, not to mention sacrifices along the way
I for one would nominate Barry Hunter
but my list is long. I admire any who puts on a helmet

I for one would nominate Barry Hunter ... A late starter as a competitor, 50 at BP in 2001, the bulk of my speedway experience has been spectating since a teenager late 60's. Aside from the 'old Baypark', Rotorua Speedway was a regular venue and Barry Hunter was certainly very much a favourite and hero. Don't know if it was true but my memory tells me that there were are couple of brothers with a logging truck. Did one drive the truck while the other fixed the stock car? Anyway, real heros worthy of 'hall of fame inclusion' inclusion in my books.
Going back many names are recalled, but for those with a saloon focus NONE would outshine Skinny Colsen for a driving spectacle and results.
