I have been told that the New Zealand Motor Caravan Association lists the reserve outside the Wellington Speedway grounds, ie outside their paying entrance, as a POP that means a pop over park free to all members of the association. ??

Have also just been told the reserve is called Kaitoke Regional Park. It has a Ranger who lives nearby, not a POP, but a CAP ( charges may apply) but these charges are applied by the Ranger not a sports club who doesn't own the land. Can someone in the know please clear this up !!!!!!

Don't get carried away guys , I'm sure most if not all would rather support the Wellington club with a few dollars for parking overnight. It's just the method being used is an issue for some not the fact that there is a charge. For anyone planning on doing all the championships the $100 fee is a reasonable sort of a deal.

My opinion is that speedway supporters are being penalized for the actions of the drivers who caused all the mayhem. Not only that what about all the people in the pits who watched these people vandalize the track and did nothing. It most certainly wasn't the speedway supporters who did it and yet they are the ones who are copping it. I am not prepared to pay $100.00 to stay there and in fact not even sure if I will even bother going to it. If you don't want to pay $100 for the privilege of parking your camper van there (if you have one), then don't, but are you saying that affects your decision to even go!?!?!!? Geez, I would pay $100 to sleep in the lake with the Ducks rather than miss a super stock NZs!

I think everyone has had ample time to express their opinions on this topic. Time to move on.
