This is quite hard as its team racing and teams mean that individuals should not stand out. Having said that

Kerry Podjursky - must be right up there with the most amount of rolls throughout the competitions history. One of the most feared and dangerous drivers to pass.
Would be nice to see in future inductions a maximum of one driver per region.

Some Hall's of Fame operate a time delay between when a driver retires and we they can be admitted to the Hall of Fame.
Will that be the case here? Will active drivers be ineligible to be added to the Hall of Fame?

My first teams event was 1991 so there is a large gap in my selection options prior to this. From here though my opinion is as follows. Dave Evans - I can recall countless times (even before he had the tanker) where head read a race so well. Once he had the tank he mastered reverse walling and the rest is history. Eddie Hawkins - part of an amazing wildcat era with Gaskin, Ireland, King and Maclanahan. Had only one role. Did probably only 6 laps per race, but you could guarantee someone in the opposition wasn't going to finish. Brendan Higgins - started coming to the teams with no reputation, but quickly earned one. Still remember his first teams event, might have a been a flat chassis even? smoke pouring out from it, but carried on and did the damage. Prior to his retirement the guy was thee key member of the tigers.
Maybes: Barry Hunter - ultimate showman. I reckon he had a better record at Waikaraka though. Murray Hobbs and Westbury could also be Rotorua nominations. Rodney Wood - if he'd won a teams, I'd put him into the hall of fame. Could run or block and showed that the driver makes the car not the other way around. Kerry Podjursky - ppl call him the tank commander, but this is relatively recent in team history terms. I believe magic Mike and even Barry Gledhill were on par for Wanganui drivers. Roydon Collingwood - did well with the scrappers and gladiators, but again I think Barry Podjursky and the Simpson brothers are equal for Taranaki. Peter Rees and Scott Miers - surely due to be inducted, but as current drivers, maybe later on. I actually rate Peter Bengston as the key member in the current squad.

Bruce Robertson-the man behind the teams champs being as successful as it is. year after year opening his wallet (club and sponsors wallet) to attract the teams and put on the biggest party and best action most of us have experienced. Kerry Remnant-most capped driver and not afraid to line up with the small fish. Peter Barry-although he never achieved greatness on the track he did lose his life to it and i believe that deserves some recognition.
I dont believe one drive or one event should warrant induction, you dont see the major league baseball hall of fame opening its doors to a guy who hit one game winning home run. lets be picky on this one only give it to those who TRULY have earned it over a career of racing.

I think malcolm bear because the waikato Wanderers have only won the teams champs twice(1993,1995)and both of those times malcolm was captain he also raced 7 years at the teams champs.

Man what a tough choice to pick 6 from the many legends, cold easily make a list of 20.
Tony Mac-Excellent reader of a race and could switch roles with ease when needed to,his managing of GB have been there reason for success in my opinion.
Eddie Hawkins-Just take a look at the greatest hits DVD how many times does this man feature.
Peter Rees-The man will lay it all on the line for his team doesn't matter what condition his car is in, has no fear what so ever. That race against Rotorua was just freakish coming back from a lap down UNBELIEVABLE.
Dave Evans-Don't remember seeing much of him but seen videos, single handedly destroying Wanganui and his many other brutal hits .
Brendan Higgins-Good reader of a race , has made some devastating hits in his time.
Kerry Podjursky-Not many if any get past this man with out being on there roof ,not many teams champs he hasn't put at least 1 car on there roofs.

We all have to stop and remember that some of these drivers were only successful because of the team around them. To single out drives seems a little unfair . In my eyes each and every one of those drivers who lined up to put their cars and bodys on the line are all heros as im darn sure I wouldn't want to .. My views only

Again hard to come up with six drivers? i am going to go with retired drivers as follows:
Murray Hobbs, could run, block, hit, no matter what was needed Hobbsy was a key to the rebels victorys in the 90s
Brendon Higgins, in my opinion one of the best teams drivers to come from the south island, just look at nelsons two victorys at palmy teams he was on fire.
Tony Mac, one of the best runners around, a real thorn in the side of most teams taking on the wildcats.
Dave Evans, a feared driver in the tank and he knew how to use it!
Eddie Hawkins, always in the thick of it for his team and caused plenty of damage to opposition teams. 1998 final should put him in the hall of fame on it's own!!
Greg Johnstone, hard hard hitter for stratford over the years always great to watch as action always followed him!

I know Kerry had the most consecutive years doing Teams Nats, and was honing in on the most in total, but i don't know if he's got there yet.
I would vote Eddie Hawkins - None better. Always one to watch, and always a dangerman. As long as his car was running, the other team needed to be on the lookout. Ricky Mitchell - He didn't do too many HUGE hits, and he didn't win many races, but he was an incredible blocker that was a thorn in many other driver's sides over the years. Never fancy, just got his job as workhorse done. Dave Evans - An innovator, a destroyer of cars and a top racer when he felt like it. Legend.
There are many others i could vote for, but those 3 stick out in my mind. I never got to see many of the pre 90's Palmy races, and im sure there are alot of legends amongst that lot.

In essence is this basically coming up with a team of six drivers (personally who have retired from teams) that are an all star team. It's a pretty hard choice
