Brief update WG Sat night. A new PA system with much better quality sound and a new toilet block on turns 3 - 4. Class numbers: Streetstocks 22, A grades/Saloon 12, Stockcars 25, Mods 11 (including 1,2 & 3 NZ!) Prod Saloons 12, Ministocks 19, Superstocks 5 with another two or three std stocks to build the numbers and in my opinion the glamour class of the track - the Supersaloons with 13. This class had some new machinery and flash paint jobs to go! Race 1 of the supersaloons a highlight of the night with 891 C (J Boulton) losing the lead first lap to 71 C (W Woodhouse?). These two battled it out until 891 C took the chequed flag after retaking lead final corner! Fantastic racing! All the best for season WG!

Awesome last race in the Supersaloons with 492i Campbell McManaway leading from start to finish and the last heat of Super Stocks with Malcolm Ngatai and jamie hamilton battling it out only for the 19c to have a problem handing the race and 1st overall to Hamilton in the 9c tri rail Great racing in the Modifieds, Stockcars and Streeties too

Thanks for the update.
I must admit I checked out the results this morning and was very impressed by the lap times the 350 chev trial motor was putting out in the super stocks. Flash chassis sure, but a 6000 motor right up there with the others is impressive. Look forward to eyeing how this package progresses through the season.

Thanks flash for the video! I must admit that engine of the 9 C superstock has to be one of the most gruntiest sounding engines I've heard for a long time! !

I must have been watching a different race. What I saw was 19c bump 9c of the end of turn 3.

I understand what the previous poster is meaning, it was a hard fast racing with no contact, 9c got past with a great pass and 19c just put the bumper in to get the lead back, stockcar racing yes .... but in the context of the race, bit underhand if u ask me but thats just my opinion

I think this is the move he referred to as a cheap shot in an interview some time ago.

I could understand the "cheap shot" or "underhand" if it was super saloons, but come on people, these are superstocks, that's what they are built for for gods sake! These guys seem to be dammed if they do and dammed if they don't. I can see it now, 19C sitting behind 9C for a couple of laps, 9C gets the chequered flag - then Macgors lights up because 19C is a superstock and doesn't know how to use his bumper anymore so why isn't he racing a saloon! Good show 19, well done. Bad luck 9C, next time either do the same to him or don't leave yourself open.
