Mods doing the bussiness at Kihikihi (Read 4,169 times)

Calling all the Mods Family , Us at McDonalds Kihikihi Speedway super bowl think the Mods would look awesome with our track shape and Wide banked corners these methanol breathing dragons ,would put on a show . We are planning this for a night meeting on the 6th of Dec and have $1500 in the Mod pool, it would be a King Country Champ type of deal , We need 10 - 12 minimum ,so if you have one or know someone with one please get them to get an entry form off the Kihikihi website and enter , Thank you very much , I'm looking forward to it ,Cheers 77k

Some are Keen from Stratford and Auckland ,but maybe to far for Wellington Mods ,but hoping for a good field for the first ever running of the King Country Modified Champs , Who knows once they see how fast our track is , might become a annual event . Looking forward to it . Cheers 77k

So far we have 6 committed from Auckland and 2 more to confirm one of them is Foxy,I am really hoping he can get the 99A machine onto Kihikihis Speedbowl he would be very impressive to watch .And we have 5 from Stratford that have indicated they will be doing their best to get there and a couple of other cars that are hoping to be out of the workshops by then also , Wellington is running that night , but it would be fantastic if a couple of the Capitals could make the trip just to add another flavour to the mix , Cheers 77k

Sounds a good idea, but the chances of two of Wellingtons most spectacular risk takers not needing to tow home to fix cars is quite slim. Its not at all uncommon to see the 9W passing with a millimetre between him and the wall.
If we didn't have other commitments would certainly consider making the trip to watch the Mods in action.

This was an awesome idea and it worked really well with the 12 cars that fronted. Id love to see this as an annual event. The Streetstocks were great too, just lack of car numbers in the support classes let it down, overall 9/10!
