What is the final verdict on the numbers for Superstock Teams racing? Are the team numbers still in play (ie, 62p - 66p for the Mustangs) or are drivers racing with their own individual racing numbers?

I think it is so that the "lower budget" teams don't have to source bodies with numbers etc they can run their own bodies?

Why can't each team have the numbers registered to individuals in the team once named. Technically it would then become that competitors racing number? Just a thought

So its now called Nz Superstock Individual Champs Not sure why you would say that, I'm sure the cars will be in team colours. Plus it's not a NZ Championship. It's a private Palmerston Nth promotion .

I didn't think I needed to add to this...I don't get what all the complaining messages are about... The idea of a team having a set of numbers is the best idea they have had... Then you know every say Stratford car will be 40-46 Palmy 5-10 and so on...Its not that hard if you are a supporter like you all say you are to know who your favourite driver is in the Number. maybe your local track should be telling you who no.8 in "your " team is or no.33 or whatever.. If they all run original numbers you will have double ups of numbers which then ruins lap scoring if the electronics go out..Is it really such a big issue. ? If you are such a supporter then you will find out and know who is actually in your Team......Maybe Teams need to supply better Car/driver info so it can be put more clearly in the programme...and this is a "Team" event...so don't you think it would be easier for the opposition to pick off drivers by their normal number..Shane Penn would be easy to spot as 1nz? personally I think the cars look great all matching and the Number gives you annominity from other team you are racing.. Just my thought on it all..

Just my thought on it all.. I think most lap scorers would like a bit of credit that they can manually lap score a race involving just 8 cars, only a couple of whom will be going flat out, with a double up or two of number. As an aside I have seen a teams races with not only similer colour car bodys but 3 number double ups in the past. I for one think this is a blimmin good move to go back to your own "normal race number". I am fairly simple minded and when I have to remember new numbers for drivers as well as other stuff, like breathe in breathe out every few seconds, my name & where I live, well something has to give and it's normally who's who in a teams race.

Who were the 2 9p,s Barry? So you could have 2 teams with the same numbers on both sides? Lapscore a race with the Panthers versus the Hawkeyes..all B,s and P,s... wont get confusing you all think?? 9b and 9p.. 35b and 35p??

Ramjam, I wasn't taking any credit away from the laps scores..they do a great job... Sometimes numbers get seen wrong though..if theres 2 the same then they miss the B,P,V or whatever it can change a teams race outcome..I don't mind either way..this started as people saying they don't know who there driver is,..my point was if you support a driver...you should know what number he will be in...As I said its just my opinion..it really isn't that hard to remember just 4 cars in a team like you said before is it?

Like you say, I know who the 5 drivers I support and the other 5 drivers who I love to hate (in the nicest poss way of course) are but that leaves another 50ish car/driver/number combo's that are compleatly new to me. If I can work out who 2/3rds of them are without getting a headache then my enjoyment of the event will improve by (in techanologacool terms) blimmin heaps. Thats my opinion FWIW anyway.

Personally I prefer team numbers but hate the triple digit teams who the only people who know for sure which car just crossed the line are the lap scorers using transponders. The numbers seem to be deliberately made very hard to read
