Since it's hosted by the same track as the Superstocks, and since they're staged two weeks earlier, it makes sense things are two weeks ahead in the planning to be fair. I'd say come January 4th you'll be inundated with Super Saloon information.

My count makes 40 car, should make for a great 2 days of racing. With the weather been against lot of meetings already this season it will be hard to pick who is in form and who isn't. No 2NZ yet. When is Emo's new car due to make the track and will Mr McIntyre actually get his built?

Entry list updated.
In response to the question who are the favourites to win, I would suggest that there are so many genuine contenders that picking the podium correctly will be extremely difficult. While 24A, 1NZ, 3NZ, 6B, 21W and 24W would seem the most likely in my mind, there are a number who go particularly well at Te Marua like 7M, 12N, 13B, 26T, 34T, 41B and 891C. There is also the complete unknown factor with the likes of Kevin Moore, Chris Cowling and of course Blondie Chamberlain who may just leave all in his wake.

Another one not to under estimate is 71C. Had some good racing down here with the likes of Ritchie Taylor etc. After the photo's off Blondie's new car I wonder if my mate Mr Hypermac might be changing the body shape on his new car - Lol.

I actually think there will be a hat trick 1nz This might not be to far off the mark, Mark has certainly become a very clever and talented racer. The new "Blondie"? In saying that and looking at the list of entrants, In reality there is about 15 - 20 Guys & Gal who have a shot at taking the Silverware. Good luck to Both the Wellington Club and all the Competitors.

It would be nice to see Mark get the trifecta , been an excellent ambassador to the class. Does his interviews very well and on track unbelievable. Whether the stars will align for 3 years in a row we will know soon. If the stars align finally for 24A he will be my choice for a TAB bet. My feeling is that before placing a bet, make sure your bet is on a car that has a SNZ sealed motor, ie heads and motors all legal and can't be disqualified, as I'm sure SNZ will be out to enforce their new off season valve angle rules ruling.

Its possible that all three placings will be Hypermac's. Im hoping it will be an outsider that wins.

Its possible that all three placings will be Hypermac's. Im hoping it will be an outsider that wins. Why would you say that ? Surely you would want " The best combination of Driver, car setup, driver who can think, crew organization, preparation, reliability, clean passes," and the zillion other pieces that combine to make a winner. This class of Super Saloons has never had such a talented line up at any one time. Would be a brave man who would bet money on the outcome of this event, bearing in mind that the BK Super Saloon series has had so many different winners at each venue. And then there is all the great talent from the SI some of which many of us have not seen as yet but at least equal to the NI. So we may be in for most thrilling Super Saloon NZ title ever seen.

Completely agree with you "TrevG" it could be the closest most exciting Supersaloon title. I have followed the South Islanders progress as best as I can through youtube, result and the odd personal viewing. I would suggest there are at least 12 Mainlanders who could challenge for the title if they get it right on the day.
I do understand the comment "I'm hoping an outsider wins" many Kiwi's support the underdog and don't like seeing the same winner to often.

How would you know? they all have the same shape these days. even if they are mustangs, falcons or even holdens, they still all look like a door stop!! Personally i hope Blondie succeeds, followed by my favs, Emerson, Vermuelen and Williams.
