Heres hoping..last years battle between Osborne and Flynn was the best Super Saloon race ive ever witnessed. it is confirmed that the super saloons are back again bruce said it during an interview at the nz superstock champs during the track repair break and he also said there is 12 teams confirmed including the uk lions so with the busters also saying they are not coming this year this is my guess of teams
glen eagles tigers wildcats panthers mustangs warriors hawkeyes scrappers rebels allstars lions
so that's 11 teams
so im guessing the 12th team is 1 of 3
Waikato wanderers baypark busters/baypark ? north island select team

with willemson back racing and having teams experience will he make it back into the scrappers if so at who,s expense who ever it is would have to be unlucky after beating the mustangs earlier this season Yep! The NZs were only about his 4th meeting in the new car, but definitely seems to have it running well - proved by the fact he qualified, then finished all 3 finals races. He was just outside the top 10 on points. Nice problem for the Scrappers to have!

Would be great to have Waikato back, they have one of the best fan bases but I think it might be a stretch getting the required cars?

I would place a wager on Waikato not being there. I hear there are some people behind the scenes working to make it happen but the facts are only one H car has turned out but hasn't been seen for a couple of months. As a passionate Waikato supporter I would love to see them there but until they return I shall continue to support every race and be there with cowbells on!

Maybe time to revive the KIhikihi Kings. With Kerry Remnant not required for Busters duty, Kyle Stove also an ex King we are half way there.

Yes well Remnant is an interesting topic..who will he show up for in Palmy. Surely with all his great years of experience he wont be on the sidelines?? Busters would be the best team to compete with Elsworth, Remnant, Karl Ross, Wooten, thats 3/4 of the winning team from last year but apparently the Pollock Sponsorship is done and dusted.

Karl Ross may have been wearing a W at the NZS but I wouldn't be 100% certain he will be racing under the W all season. He did his first meeting this season at wellington speedway so therefore has to register for the season at that track at the time, my guess is that he will transfer back to bay park during the season or perhaps stay with the dub, i just saw this sane example happen to Jayden ward before the NZ stockcar champs last season where he had run his first meeting at wanganui so had to wear a V as that is where he had registered and hadnt made the club transfer before the meeting.
I'm not sure that is particularly true, did you read it in the rulebook somewhere?
hey godfather, no i didnt read it in a rule book just going off the information as to why jayden ward was running a V at the NZ champs in Palmy this time last year, he told me the reason why as above and mentioned elsewhere now in this thread too, since my last post i also now know for a fact that karl will be running out of baypark this season as an M registered superstock at some stage so this furthers my theory, i forgot to ask him about the W when we were having a chat.

I think the Mustang Team will be different than the one that lost to the Scrappers...Speed, experience and guys that can use their bumpers Alec Wilson - a lot of experience and is a good blocker Dave Tarrant - been there and done it and puts everything on the line Adam Joblin - fast and has experience Richard Hart - not afraid of using the bumper Gavin Taniwha - is an awesome blocker, if hes not in the Allstars PANTHERS... Peter Bengston Asher Rees Peter Rees Jack Miers Scott Joblin / Scott Miers Seeing as the Panthers didn't win it last year (that is not a dig at them either), is it a good time to get some new blood in there with out them having a massive weight on their shoulders ? I would imagine it would be a lot of pressure on some of the young guys going into it being the champs...or maybe not ?

Read a couple of post down on the main discussion board and/or have a look on the Mustangs FB page. You might be surprised, especially with Mustangs

Very interesting mustangs squad..first impressions are that it lacks real solid blockers.. Great to see Hemi given another shot will be interesting. Also very interesting only one Joblin teams racing this year?

Peter Bengston is all class and his involvement alone will make the Panthers strong again this year

Richard hart that's a great zero to hero story having a brilliant season starred at the super champs but who is he whats his background anyone know be good to know He use to race out of Stratford as 7s Stockcar I believe. Also was a late addition to the GB Lions at the Teams Champs last season as one of the original 5 named was injured at the Lions vs Allstars race at wacky park the week before.
