kroyerracingengines - only 2 joblins max can make it. There are 2 repercharges with only winner of each making it through to the finals. You'd be hoping the Joblins don't all end up in one repercharge heat huh I want them all in the same group so simon and scott can help adam qualify as I have money on adam joblin and dale Robertson to win 1nz

It is a contact grade is it not?
not as much now with the recent competitor initiated rule changes regarding contact. I see this same comment every year where everyone is surprised by the lack of contact on qualifying night. Only now it is being blamed on the new rules. Superstock fans must have Fishbowl memories because there is hardly EVER!!! much contact on the first night and you may not even see much tonight in the finals much the same as it was at Meeanee 12 months ago and the years before. It is the way the class is evolving and nothing really to do with the terribly worded new rules SNZ brought in.

Wouldn't it be great to see something similar to heat 3 @ kihikihi when McCabe and Boote etc caused carnage

It is the way the class is evolving and nothing really to do with the terribly worded new rules SNZ brought in. Qualifying is nearly always straight racing with a few random incidents as you say. The finals are a different story as they seem to work in 2 or 3 year cycles of not much happening interrupted by a year of total carnage. No one can predict which year will be carnage hence us spectators traipse around the country in the hope of it being a carnage year. When it turns out to be a not much happening year we have a moan. These days we also worry the new rule will deny us carnage year altogether. Life goes on.
