About to head of to Te Marua for my first Stock Car meet this year, as after 46 years direct involvement, I walked away last year following some, in my humble opinion, strange decisions being made by SNZ and some officials. I am concerned about the turn 1 and 3 rules, will the winner be decided by a Referees interpretation. I am concerned that the above rule will turn Super Stocks into nothing more than glorified sprint cars (Heaven Forbid) I hope that the Title will be won fairly and Squarely and that we won't be looking back on Saturday night saying that So and So didn't win because he/she was relegated/ disqualified or what ever by an over zealous official with a big head on a little body. I live in hope?

Speaking to Rod and Phil on Friday, they explained their interpretation of the rule, and it appears that they would be using common sense in regards to it, and the results over the 2 days seems to bear that out, and the two top Red Caps showed their experience and knowledge can over ride "Knee-Jerk" reactions. Great final heat, must compliment in particular Wayne Hemi and Scott Miers for the brilliant support work they did to ensure a PN trifecta. The first time in many years that PN drivers have got it together to help their club mates in NZ Final. They have blown at least 3 other times when PN should have been on top over the last few years. Wellington for a so called minor track, hats off, a brilliant meeting, greatly improved facilities, meeting ran as good as any I have seen.
