Ok I will bite ( and possibly give the Rees more airtime they deserve). I am not on face book, but I have heard from those that are that suggest Pete and asher will be have G on the door and red cars come stockcar teams champs in Vegas. This may be in the superstock threads but have lost interest in that. Macgor please delete if this is duplicated elsewhere, or is testing your patience.
If this is true, then last nights interview (from Gary Parke's)suggesting the Palmy teams is a one off is not true. I didn't think the Pumas were included in this big dummy spit. If Gizzy had a team as per Tank 11 and the Vegas site suggest, then who from Gizzy now misses out?
I am thinking this is a Tui add.
Is this a case of the plastic G? (maybe even a gastric G)
Containing myself right now .......................................

Maybe they have gone to Gizzy as they don't run Superstocks so they can run anywhere they want any weekend ?

Boss you got a few late nights on.... In all defence, new stuff has come to light that has been a revalation, and confirmed by the own team on face book, so surely that opens things back up for a little more discussion. No rumours as such. No mention of the name Kerry, or Palmy, or superstock teams champs. We talking your home patch in Vegas town. Like Gizzy as I was bought up there. Don't think they need the Rees, Would hate to see those that were in the team a day ago miss out, and lastly, would not like ( if they won it ) next years event to be held in Gizzy. Worthy of a discussion? ?

One if my friends summed it up well on Facebook when likening it all to another sport...
No different to someone playing for the Vodafone Warriors and then signing with the Melbourne storm. Thats sport!
I tend to agree
Same as the rugby players that play for different super rugby franchises, only difference is professional sportsmen vs amateur sportsman.. We don't get paid full time in our sport.
And one sport you use balls the other .. You NEED balls

Just a thought. But I think they went to Gisborne to go to the Teams Champs and that's all. If you look at the other teams in the lower north island they are all well supported by the drivers. Wanganui as a example have Mooney, Potaka, Lockett, Flett and Heibner and others . So I don't think the Reeses would have even considered many other tracks. Reading posts on this topic others have said there has been a bit of angst in the Gisborne team and Peter, Asher and Ethan would possibly help that situation. Ethan last night said on Facebook "as everyone knows now we will be running g on our cars, everyone needs to sit down and respect our decision FOR THE TIME BEING" (I've added the capitals) Again to me "for the time being" means Gisborne isn't there final destination. Peter was going to give up STD socks after this season and this is a way to go out with his sons in a teams event. Thanks V4Wanganui/ Anthony

Agree - this is a discussion game changer for the teams as it now places the Gladiators in a position to possibly win the tournament. Tantasiling draw coming up for teams in Rotorua. Just imagine a dream qualifying draw - you know G vs P? Like Sonic33 I have some favourite childhood holiday memories of Gizzie - fishing in the tidal river at the back of the then Watties factory by the wharf, daily trips to Midway beach catch some waves, Olympic pools had just opened up and jumping off the high diving board a highlight, visits to Gizzie speedway, stealing fruit from all them trees, rock searching at Kaiti beach ah them were the days! Go the Rascals and go Gizzie! (Just don't meet til the final) When's the draw Sonja? - just kidding!

From Bryce Harding, Just a bit of an update from me in regards to teams. A few days ago, we were struggling for people in the team, to having the Rees Race Cars onboard it made Teams racing appealing to a few more people in the end we had 9 people for the team to be selected from. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't one of the cars selected. With the factors being no experience, I'm not winning races and I haven't smoked anyone over. And I have had no need to prove any of that in regular racing as I have always had a spot in the team until now. I am gutted. But at the same time, excited. We are putting forward a fast, strong team that I will be behind 100% A team that I will be in, no matter what soon. I have this deep down desire now. I'm not for one moment being demotivated or upset. It's time to work harder. Get up the Gisborne Gladiators

In rugby they change clubs during the off season usually when their contract has finished, not just before a big game! or as the result of a dispute. Pete is a Professional in his sport it's his job isn't it? On that subject It Will be interesting to see how his Palmy based sponsors react and what the other G drivers think of any travel money the Ree's get paid for traveling to the G track when racing with a G letter on the side of their cars. Back on topic If it happens you would think The Pumas Vrs Gladiators would be like Busters vrs Rebels.

Here's where you saiid it Beachy. In other years, no G car got travel money from the club, as far as I know.
