If this has already been answered I apologise but how is that the tigers have the numbers 82-86 and everybody else has their normal racing numbers? I'm only guessing, but it could be because the Tigers have used team numbers far longer than anyone else. I don't know when they started using them, but they have been using them since at least 1997 (I can't find any video from before then that clearly shows the Tigers with team bodies and numbers. I could be completely wrong on that reasoning though. We can all guess but that shouldnt really mean anything. Rules are rules and should apply to every team, if sequential numbers can be used then they CAN be used, if they cant be used then they CANT be used.
