Had to laugh last night at Woodford Glen... Two commentators having a conversation about a driver, that they had never heard of... Turns out he is actually the South Island champ..
Rather funny that half the crowd knew that...
On another note, it seems that if your an out of town streetstock driver, the Chch cars wont take you out giving you their Canty Champ trophy... Same thing happened at the Stockcar Hoopla a few weeks back.

Disgraced to have a 'c' on my car lastnight. I hope the useless c$@!s were happy with the likes of racing for 20th place instead of trying to slow up the out of towners!! What a joke

Yes, well, once again my apologies to Darryl Richards over that, not only is he the current SI champ but last seasons GP winner as well. In our defence, Ivan and I were talking him up and commenting on how well he was performing, and I dont recall having seen him race at the Glen before, (maybe he has and I mis-remembered that too), which made his performance on the night even more impressive. Glad you got a laugh out of it, at least something good came out of our ignorance!

Yes not a great night to be a Canterbury streetstock fan but hey, it's easy from the safety of the grandstand I suppose. I enjoyed the commentary team again on Saturday night and with the other part time guy think they are a great team. Generally they have a vast knowledge of the regular drivers to the Glen and I for one always feel well informed. I did happen to speak with another of the Dunedin drivers and he told me it was 76d's first ever meeting at the Glen so I think the commentary team who for the most part give us fans great info can be excused on this one. At the end of the day they are probably only as good as the info given to them? I can't imagine as volunteers they spend their spare time researching drivers from all over the country just in case they happen to turn up at the Glen. I'm certain this would be the case at most tracks around NZ. Keep up the great work team, you do a great job and the new sound system sounds awesome too!

Well said Rob, good to have a driver back up my issue. The C cars do need to wake up. Two visiting cars are NOT hard to stop. This is not the first time this has happened in the contact grades lately. Its becoming a joke.
Tony T, no offence, but if it was a visiting superstock Im picking you would know more about it. A little homework to do ;-) I couldn't do your job tho.

shane chapman was the only car trying to help the c cars. The two cars they were trying to stop are bloody good drivers with two of the fastest cars in the country,to be fair there would only be a handfull of c cars that could keep up,most chch cars are dungas.

There were only 3 out of town cars there and 2 of them were in the top 3 finishes for all their races, except for one race each, being a 5th.
