They do not race again until the last four races, and get an eight-race gap between races. That's the perk for having achieved a top four finish the previous season.

Well we all know the track is always wet & slow for the first race meaning less big hits which = less damage for both teams but I guess that's home town advantage. Also the crowd will still be half sober so won't be at full song with all the "Smash the P" like chants and the like.

Somebody has to be first, and it was the random draw that put them there. Although you'd have an answer to that as well?

I thought it was group 4 first, seeded against a unseeded team.(could have been Tigers) Group 1 being last group as top seeds. Second round will be unseeded teams against each other. And again the top seeds are in the last race of their groups, so longest time to fix cars.

There was a 1 in 8 chance that the Panthers would be their opponents. Barry B

But once in their pool 1 in 2 of having the first race? Aren't they drawn to pools first then the race order? I don't know, as I have never been to the drawing of teams.
