Was 1,000,000% better.........now we just need a car colour rule so HB, P, V and W don't all look basically the same......

absolutely fantastic! so much easier to watch.
only comment i was getting from the non-regular speedway people around me was "so which car is Wayne Hemi" etc ie the commentators were calling names not numbers sometimes. But overall was GREAT!
and totally agree with Barry re colours. Maybe each Team should have their preferred colour, and then a back up colour (ie just like rugby, soccer, league etc teams do). They submit their preferred colour to the promotor and the preference goes based on the previous years finishing position? Or in the case of the 4 bottom Teams points countback from night 1?

Barry B HB - a black and white body - like a Magpie P - straight black - like a Panther bright pink ..... a la The Pink Panther!!!! W - black and yellow body. V - was going to say black and blue... but at night blue ends up looking black. They can have the Palmy black then.

Agree with what's been said above. So much easier to watch without the confusion of who was driving what. We can live with the odd misplaced driver such as Dion Mooney driving 56v. Now to sort the colours which I'm beginning to think teams are also using to confuse.

It'd be pretty easy to do and still retain their existing colours;
HB with a lot more white to go with their black W with a lot more yellow to go with their black V with a lot more blue to go with their black P with a lot more black to go with their black
A, M, R, S, MM, N, ChCh, GB, they're all fine just as they are.

Barry B agree the colour thing needs to be sorted next, Teams-sponsors spend a lot of $ each year on team bodies colours , so I'm sure they don't want it to be clashing with others. Maybe the wings being different bright colour's for a start.

Possibly leave the bodies to the teams as they are but introduce a separate team colour (where required) on the front and rear bumpers. Example, HB - white, Palmy - pink etc

Example, HB - white, Palmy - pink etc Now that's not such a dumb idea. Side rails and bumpers. That's something that can be quickly and easily touched up with a spray can, yet creates enough of a point of difference to be able to tell teams apart easily enough (provided the colour is bright enough)

Teams won't do it on their own, so rules have to be introduced and enforced to establish a bit of common sense. Barry B

I didnt attend, but have seen various footage sources, and still had to consult a teams list to fill me in on the drivers I did not recognise in their registered numbers. What should have changed first is the colours, very very similiar for some teams.

Definitely team colours need changing, follow province colours. As for numbers, still prefer team numbers and as for I.Ding drivers, quite simple fix is to put driver name on windscreen large enough for anyone to see, no triple digits though, whichever team can carry 1-5 if they win both teams events so that leaves 6-99 for the rest.

I had a number of people sitting around me regularly asking who is this driver type questions. To be running their own numbers so I could answer almost without thinking improved the weekend a lot for me. I am 100% for this becoming the norm at all teams meetings, including the upcoming Stockcar Teams.
